I did my test yesterday in Vancouver and today I got Decision Made! The sheet has been updated.
Test was pretty easy and straight forward, as well as the interview. She asked for my IDs and PR card (which she photocopied), then asked for my passports and told me she was going to verify some stamps. I only had 3 trips outside of Canada, all to my country of birth and for 3 weeks or less each time, so it was pretty quick. She asked me what I did for work, if it was full time, and the name of the business. She also asked if I had family in Canada, to which I replied only my husband, then she asked what his status was and I said Canadian citizen. She asked me if I had trouble with the police or immigration anywhere in the world, I said no (she asked me that again a couple of minutes later, then realized she had already asked me that, and we had a bit of a laugh). She did not ask to see my proof of language or my change of name certificate (of which I had sent copies with my original application). Then she asked me to sign the paper, which basically said she did all of the necessary checks, that I had no prohibitions and that I has providing truthful information. Then she said "its's all good! Next step will be getting a notice to appear for the Oath ceremony, in 2 or 3 months, probably closer to 2 months!". I asked if everything was done, like background checks etc and she said "yes everything is done! Next step is the oath"- sure enough, I got DM today!
I was pretty nervous all day haha but it was chill. I am very glad that this part is over
Hope the above is helpful to everyone preparing for their test and interview.
Cheers!
