Hey guys! I got the second Ghost Update today. As I see from the last postings ghost does not necessary mean the golden mail is coming in few hours-days...
The visa Officer checked on your profile, so you can see the movements.
I hope everyone will get PPRs soon!

yeah I did. My file was approved on Oct. 24th and I am waiting for my golden email like crazy too.

Hey! Please, raise CSE saying that you talked to an agent and your file was approved. You need to trigger PPR mail. It happened to one of the guys here, he raised CSE and VO attached PPR accordingly.

The agent, however, told me that my file would first go to Ottawa office from my current processing office in Sydney, Nova Scotia. And, the officer there would make a decision as to whether send me a PPR request or a landing interview at my local office.

Btw, what is CSE and how can that be done? It is same as the IRCC webform?

Yes, it is the same thing. I am just sharing someone's experience. I see so many files stuck in Nova Scotia after Approval

yeah I know! This office has been something going on for sure in NS office
There are other people with exact same status as mine that are stuck at NS.

How did you figure out your application is approved? Thanks!

I called CIC twice, agents on the phone confirmed the application approval happened on the day I received my only ghost update, 24 Oct.

Hey guys! Called to CIC yesterday, and they confirmed my case was approved.
The agent said there is no specific PPR emails schedule, and Ottawa office will send email soon.
I hope it won't take too long.

Since I'm fairly new, the ghost updates changed the following:

1) Reviewing additional documents to "not applicable"

2) I can't remember what the initial text was, but it now says "we are processing your background check..."etc.

That's okay. So those weren't ghost updates. The actually ghost updates won't change anything on your account.

O ok. I thought ghost meant it made a change without generating an email!
