AOR Received.
18-06-2018
Hi everyone, I’m really happy to share that I received the PPR today morning from CPC Ottawa. I would like to thank this forum for all the help and support. Please find below the timeline-

AOR: 17th June
IP1: 29th June
IP2: 19th October
PPR: 22nd March

Raised GCMS notes in last week of Jan 2019 and received them on 28th Feb with following information- Eligibility-Met, Criminality-Passed, Security-Not Started (No info redacted anywhere), Ready to be finalized on 26th July 2018 with a due date of 29th July 2018.

Raised CSEs and received generic reply – in queue for review by an officer.

Called help center this week and luckily got connected with a helpful agent. Many thanks to the agent as she herself sent a note to the office to look into the file.

My suggestion to the June folks waiting for PPR and aware that everything is fine with the file, please try to call. It may help. All the best.
Congratulations and thanks for the advice!

@leka @Mr_nobody @tobs @cansha @richa1987 @ChiragShetty20 @ @Prashant86_2000 @linda85

Good news everyone. Quick re-cap. June AOR, FSW-Inland. File approved in November at Montreal office. No movement in my file after that at all.

I phoned IRCC on 5th March to ask for updates. They confirmed that file was approved and was not touched since November.

I (cheekily) e-mailed IRCC.PRA-RVPR.IRCC@cic.gc.ca on 18th March requesting for an interview, using the details of my COPR that was on my GCMS information. I did not have any formal communication of approval at this stage.

On 19th March (today), I phoned IRCC again. Agent was genuinely shocked that my file was approved in November. He noted that there was some movement in my file in the last couple of weeks since my last phone call to IRCC.

Suddenly, I received a landing interview letter today (19th March) from Etobicoke. The interview is next week.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Hoping for the best for everyone else waiting.

If you know that your file is approved, call the IRCC office by phone until you are able to speak to an agent. I think that is the best way to communicate with them after the file is approved. Call them once every two weeks or so. Raising a CSE at the post-approval stage seems to be ineffective.

Also, my online account still does not show any updates whatsoever.
Congrats buddy!

PPR!!!

8 Months later I finally got the golden email I have been waiting for :):):)

This process tested my patience level to the core. I was in my own zone cribbing and getting annoyed and didn’t know what to do other than waiting. Then I saw super kind and fun people like @tobs @Mr_nobody @R.Tequila and many more - made me realise that helping others and making fun of agent Mathew is what I was supposed to do from the beginning :D. The purpose of the goal is not to achieve the goal, but the person you become while achieving it (- Tony Robbins).

Thanks to @tobs and @cansha and you all for helping with so many queries (I have more questions on further process :p) and I’m looking forward to meet people like you in Canada, who inspire so many others to be at their best.

Praying for PPR emails for everyone waiting. :)
Congrats!!

So I was away from forum for 3 days and this thread had 150+ posts. It is by far the best thread on this forum and good to see people still so active.

I just wanted to give another update from my side. My PR card application got approved and my PR cards were delivered to my friend's address in Toronto on 21st March. I was lucky that my photos got accepted in the very first time. I was hoping for that as they really cost a lot.

The timeline is as follows:

Soft landed: 18 Feb 2018
Ghost update: 16 Mar 2019
Application Approved: 19 Mar 2019
PR card delivered: 21st March

Hi Guys,
So I am a June 18 AOR and file still awaiting assessment by an officer... only medical passed till now ... wrote several emails to them and got a reply today saying :-

Good Day,

Your application is with our office and is currently in queue for review by an officer. You will be contacted further in due course.

Thank you for your continued patience.

D.A.

My question is that even if we get the visa would the medical still be valid since it expires in April 19....

they may ask you to redo medicals before issuing the visa

And is it normal that it’s almost been an year and the background checks have still not started ?
I had lost all hopes but someone told me that if they had to reject our file they would’ve done it long back within the 1st few months of filing the papers.
