I doubt they will ever reply to those status requests. Submitted mine Aug 2nd, already got my passport Oct 7th, never received a reply for the status request. Seen on the forum that people get replies 3 months after they submit a status request, unbelievable

You sent it not that long ago, you have to wait, they dont charge your card right away... Why did you send it to Missisauga though? As per canada.ca website, this Mississauga address is only for non-courier mail but they also specifically advise to better send via courier mail to Gatineau...

You dont need to show the plane tickets if you are not desperate to get the passport. Otherwise those who want to jump the queue or need passport urgently need to prove their urgency with a ticket

They dont send any tracking details to you. If you are worried about the supporting documents getting lost in the mail, just apply in person, so they check your certificate and id's on the spot and give it back to you right away. Apparently applying at Service Canada and mailing your documents...
