Hello Everyone!
I have some friends in US and I want to stay for minimum 2 weeks before going to Canada. Can I do that?I hope, there’s no such rule that applicant should come direct from his home country only. In my case, I’m from India
There's no such rule

Not sure if this is the right forum to discuss post COPR thoughts. My situation is similar but I am thinking to go to Canada first and then to my brother in USA till March or PR Card and then plan move to Canada. I am trying to understand how I can pick bank account along with credit card in or around Toronto airport and catch evening flight to USA. Assuming PR card and SIN application is done during immigration process.

Ok so i am officially now in the 20% club, 6 months got over on Christmas, ironic :). I just ordered my first gcms notes on the 21st of December.
I also did raise a CSE the same day but got the same generic response.
I'm thinking to send an email to the ottawa office- Ralph had said in November that's my primary VO. Would that be a good idea?

You wont get PR card immediately. It takes 60 days and you cant travel without it on public transport. I have read that you can reenter Canada only on private transport ie if you drive to Canada if you travel outside Canada before receiving your PR card.

You can get a travel document at the embassy if you haven't got your PR card yet. But it is usually easier to find someone to mail your PR card to you if you decided to fly back after landing.
