Seems no one corrected you, But you can take as much cash as possible in canada only you need to declare it to their customs if you are carrying more than 10K CAD. 10K CAD is not the limit of cash one can carry.

But yes its a different story from where you are getting this cash from, say in India I believe its only 3000 USD cash you can take out of the country.

Thx for correcting

So..I can just randomly pop him an email? Can you verify if this is his email? ralph.goodale@parl.gc.ca? What information do I have to include in the email?
Well thats what i said don't just randomly pop him an email. If you have called cic atleast 3 times and not gotten any answer and also your GCMS notes have everything retracted(haven't seen a single case with this) only then email him please.

If you have ordered gcms notes then anyways you get so much information about your application that even ralph cannot provide.

Hey.. Yours is identical to ours. Keep your status posted here
Welcome to our ark @mathansri! Or should I say, welcome to thy girlfriend :) Yup, there's at least 10 of us (and counting) who turned IP2 between 24 and 27 Oct but have gotten no update since. Let me tell you how I've whiled away the time:
1) Emailed Ralph in the second week of Nov and received a reply instantaneously. Criminality passed, Eligibility in progress and Security not started.
2) Connected with an agent in the third week of Nov and received a positive response. All looks good and security shall start as soon as an officer looks at the file and stamps eligibility as formally PASSED from the current MET.
3) Ordered GCMS notes in the fourth week of Nov and am waiting for the notes to arrive before either gnashing my teeth in vain or shouting Hurrah like a maniac because all is well. I do suspect I won't find out anything new, but I've ordered GCMS notes twice before and haven't regretted it at all. The first time I ordered them I found out my eligibility was MET and the second time I ordered them, the status stayed the same, but I moved to IP2 the day the notes were generated and hit my inbox. So, I'd heartily recommend ordering them, as my experience has been nothing but positive.
Do keep us updated on how things go for your gf! We of the IP2 Oct 24-27 ark are rooting for her ;)

Just seen this on IRCC website:

''This online service will be unavailable from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Eastern time, on Tuesday December 4, 2018, in order to perform system maintenance.''

This doesn't excites us anymore :(

Just wanted to put this out there to many June applicants. Please order your GCMS notes if you are in the 5th month or so. You can get a lot more detailed info on your application than you would imagine. I though they started my background check on Oct 26 when I received the update. Turns out I was approved on Oct 12 and they initiated the BGC update after approving everything including the completion of my security check.

I am currently waiting for the LVO to get back to me for the Landing interview date and time, but I wish everyone the best in hearing some good news ASAP.

How to figure out the date as to when the final decision was made via GCMS notes?
There is also a section under Finalize Application

Document # T (9digit no.)
Document CoPR/CPR
Status: Not Started

Print Queue: PQ-DOC-5133-1

Assigned to/by RC-3296

Can anyone shed some light on this? Any input is highly appreciated!
@legalfalcon @cansha

Se the notes when the PPR request was sent. That is the date when the application was approved.

Then there will be a date when the COPR was generated. This is the date when the file was finally approved and closed.

This is a good piece of advice and for those who don't know what GCMS notes look like, see:
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...order-read-general-questions-answered.482200/

https://www.getgcms.com/blog/gcms-notes-look-like-order/

GCMS notes come under "Protected B" category, so keep them safe and to read more on it see: https://www.getgcms.com/blog/gcms-notes-contain-vital-information-keep-safe/

so one MP was willing to help delayed applications with status updates and you guys somehow managed feck that up.

Ralph stopped helping?

What would you do, if people started demanding for a status 2 months adter AoR, twice within 30 days?
Oh I completely agree. I've tried to warn people here multiple times that they shouldn't contact him if they're within 6 months. Like everything that's "free", people take advantage and ruin it for everyone.

:(

Although, I have seen a few people posting responses from his office so I would say they are rather selective.
