Called IRCC this morning, agent told me my eligibility and criminality have passed, security is still in progress.

I'm CEC Inland applicant and here's my timeline:
AOR: June 2
Med Passed/IP1: June 15
IP2: Around Oct 15 or earlier
Ghost Update: Oct 22

It's kinda disappointing to find out my application still not approved yet given lots of members on this forum with the similar timeline have their application approved already. I'm now worrying if I'm selected for the infamous security screening. When I asked the agent what date my security check started she said she couldn't tell and she had no clue what security screening is.

well thats not bad at least you know that eligibility and criminality is done, so famous security might take just few weeks, for sure you are closer to finish line than other inland applicants.,

he is busy with canada post right now... but yeaaa i will try again.. i think bec of -23 temp.. IRCC is having brain freeze

Then it seems that winter in Sydney began in August.

Lol I am June 12 AOR, both eligibility and criminality passed. Has been in security checks since July 17. Everyone seems to say it usually takes weeks only, which is not helping my chills!!

Security check does usually take only days or weeks. Security screening on the other hand, takes months or even years get cleared. Let's hope for the best and good luck to your application too. Finger crossed.

Not yet, I probly should ! But I guess the clear June backlog shown by the data in immitracker kind of calms me a little bit that I am not the only one. Same as you, CEC Inland.

On realistic point with the speed application is moving these days I'm aiming for Easter!!

Was able to get through to an agent just now, basically just confirming above information.

Said the reason it is in Calgary is simply workflows distribution, and that it is in "regular" background check.

So it does feel like they are holding PPRs to maintain the 6-month average time.

Hmm. Tested my luck by shooting a email directly to CIC Calgary office. Someone with "Case Processing Agent" signature actually replied, but just basic info:

"Rest assured that your file is with our office because of workload distribution and your security can take quite a long time as it would for anyone else. Any further questions can be redirected to our help Centre by ..."

I think European citizens don't need to send the passport physically, since they can enter Canada under ETA so they don't need an actual visa inserted. Not 100% sure though

I really hope so, but I am not sure. So that way it would work that they send me a final decision email that I print and bring with me when landing in Canada?

My friend is Polish, but he still needed to sent his passport. He sent it last week.

I have a similar situation as yours, mine is under EEBC program. My AOR is June 4th, IP2 around Oct 27th or earlier, and ghost update is around the first week of November. Currently I am still awaiting. I guess your application is in security check as mine, and it could take weeks or more. I assume we probably will receive PPR or direct landing interview in the first week of next month. However, I've already contributed less attention to my application, although I have a travelling plan in next two month. What we can do is just waiting, i believe CIC will meet 6 month mark at last.
