So I hope I am in a better place. But still worried about the eligibility status which is still in recommended pass and not passed..!!

Recommended pass is a big step!! In most cases it means a senior officer will just review your files and officially give a green flag!!

wow. this is concerning. what happens if someone misses the email?

also, can you share which number should i call to talk to cic ?

Yeah I'm surprised too, but this is the way it has been for years.
If you're inside Canada you should call 888.242.2100. I'm not sure about the number for outside-Canada calls.

i am inside canada. thanks for the number.

To check if they are experiencing a "high volume of calls" you can select Citizenship enquiries from the menu (think it's option 4 or something) and immediately leave the queue if you get in. Going through the PR menu takes a few minutes and more often than not at the end you simply hear the message that you should call back later.

thanks. i am on waiting now.

Congratulations! what a great relief...

i assume the email id is the same "donotreply@cic.gc.ca' but that went to your junk folder:) I have been receiving emails from this id only on the primary folder...but from on .. i will start checking other folders as well.

The email address they send landing interview appointments from is WST-LandingEnquiries@cic.gc.ca
I'm not 100% sure though if this is Canada-wide, or if it's only in use by their Vancouver office. This email landed in my regular Inbox.

I just called cic and the agent told me that she cannot give me much info about my application because it is in their office in Paris, France. Anyone else in the same position?

If your application has been passed on to an LVO (e.g. Paris), IRCC Agents can no longer access your application information anymore.

Thank you for your response. I forgot to ask her when it was transferred and if it gets transferred immediately or for the background check. Any idea?
