I called CIC today, agent told me that I have cleared my eligibility and only security check is left. Does anyone know how long do they take to complete the security check?

AOR- 12th June
MEP- 26th June
IP2- 17th August

Lol. You are true to the fact but seriously saying that tracking it on immitracker gives me lot more pain as according to the average case, i should have received my PPR till now.

I know :( I am sorry. I feel the same, but honestly there are still a lot of us who haven't moved to IP2 yet.
My timeline is in my signature for your reference :)
Everyday brings new hope. Stay positive!

ok family, I seriously wanna know something... what would knowing Visa office Weill do. People say Sydney is slow.. I would say no.. because and few others got in 1month.. then people say Ottawa is slow, I would say no, because many people there also got in 1 month and few days... So all this is subjective... what you guys should focus upon is what documentation you provided which can cause delay.

1. Example PCC, Travel history, POF( keep an eye on exchange rate), employment documentation. If all that is good, it is not the centre but the officer , which may or may not delay. Because even office waits for certain agencies for answers. for example . background: RCMP, and intelligence etc. education: , employment: validity of company etc. Big companies no issues, small ones they might have to dig things. Travel: this can screw things up, ehhehe too many hops add some delay.

Rest enjoy guys, when mine was in process, check it out, I just used go post my progress and used to write fingers crossed and approx dates. No comparison ever.

Enjoy life guys.. once you guys make it here, lets meet and party

I actually wouldn't totally agree with you on this. Like you mentioned officers are slow, similarly officers in certain VO's are really slow. I am the primary applicant with a Big 4 experience - just one company for several years! No travel history except India and USA, 2 layovers if you want to consider that as travel history!

POF is all in good shape and we have given enough documentation not just for POF but all the other documentation have been reviewed at least 3 times before submitting with 4 sets of eyes :D

I am not here to compare but again it is not that easy knowing that you barely know few people from the VO your application is getting processed, and sadly there hasn't been any progress in your app for over 2 months!

Appreciate you hanging in here and trying to help all of us :)

Is your VO montreal. All delayed applicants are mostly having MOntreal VO

So if the average processing time is 6 months or less, anything more than that is slow. Anything less than that is fast.
Please don't compare your application to others. You will get processed in less than 6 months. If not, then you can ask them why it's taking longer.
Relax and enjoy the last bit of summer :)
