from what I see here and in the tracker as well.. IP1 takes much longer... as you said i guess many of the security are carried out in IP1.. I got a call to my office (to verify the job) within the first week of application before I passed my meds... so it looks like they started IP1 quite early incl some security checks.
My employer has not been contacted so far. So I think that my security check has not started. Is it normal?? My agent on the other side is hopefull for PPR by the mid of next month..

how do you know that they were not ? thats my guess too. People are getting on an average of 3-4 months time mostly.
Good Luck.

my case is something similar to you, im planning to order gcms notes when touch 90 days mark in IP1.

i am not sure its common... It might be because I as Spouse gave only LoE's and not actual reference letters.

I asked my boss about any mail or any sort of call seeking information regarding my profile.. but he didn’t mentioned any thing in particular and so I guess no one has approached him.. my AOR is 2 june. Hopefully all those stuck at IP1 recieve good news by the end of this month.

Yeah, me too. You and I have the same timeline, btw.

6 months is process timeline as per IRCC, so 2 months in IP1 seems pretty normal. Don't get restless looking at successful applicants here. For every 1 PPR granted for June applicants, there are roughly 9 applications which are still pending (May submissions have ratio of 1:4; both based on sample in immi-tracker). So, you are in majority of the cases (perhaps unfortunately in this case).

You can ring IRCC. They don't talk in terms of IP1, IP2 etc but will let you know a bit more detail about the status - like visa office, eligibility met/passed, criminality and BG check started or not etc. Hope this helps.
This helps. Thanks a lot!
