Did you submit before 31st July, then it will not affect you.

If you are in Asia, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, it doesn't get roll out till end of this year. Within EMEA, certain set would need to provide it (I think AOR submission from today onwards might have this extra step but not sure). Anyhow, if needed, I'm sure you will be instructed. It's just another step in terms of both money and effort to get final outcome going forward.

could you share your experience how to bypass the system and talk to cic agent? I called them a couple of times and the system always hang up my call. Thanks a lot

Spoke to a courteous agent who said the first part of my background check has been completed and the second part starts soon. My file which is currently at CIO, Sydney, Nova Scotia will be transferred to my LVO after the background check has been completed. He didn't say when, just soon.
