Final Request means PPR. Try to connect with a call center agent. Also raise CSE, you should hear from them sooner than other CSEs (probably couple of days) because this is something very urgent.

Its @shishirkona and @CoolSandy who ordered GCMS notes after approval date. Lets see what comes out. After ghost update I was told by the call center agent, My criminality got passed on IP2 day (15 Oct) and Security was completed on Ghost Update date (5th Nov). My file was finalized same day and currently waiting for PPR.
I am pretty sure its all about the batch now. Probably they are just adding applications to the batch which has some sort of quota. Once the batch is full, they will release it. This should be coming within 1st half of December.

No news yet! Called last Friday - agent confirmed everything is done and sincr processing timd is 6 monghs, she told me to expect yhe PPR soon... still waiting.

Ideally 6 months, but some get it earlier or later than others. There are various stages. AOR-MEP-IP1-IP2-ADR-PPR (not necessarily in that order)

At most times "your application has been updated" mail means you might have moved from one stage to other. Or they have raised an ADR (Additional Document Request). You will have to go to your CIC account and check for details and changes.

Unless, your application is complete in all respect (according to them) and you are at IP2 stage already(when background check shows as in progress on CIC account). And you see no actual changes on your CIC account despite that email. It is called as ghost update.which means you are one step away from your PPR.

Hi guys just hanged up the phone with IRCC. The agent was so nice and helpful. I am 4th june applicant in ip2 since 20th of july .she told me that everything looks fine and our file doesnt need any more docs. Criminality, eligibility and medical all passed and all recommendations from the officer look reassuring. They are still working on the background. According to her my file is in Ottwa office. Also, 6monhts window can extend to one year. Its an average time of processing. She said the only thing now is to wait!!

What the ****! How can they do this to us?
Now they are saying it can be extended to a year. That’s so rude. They can’t make us wait for no reason and when did the average timeline of processing changed from six months to a year. That’s completely shattering information.
