That’s why I’m avoiding them like a plague.Whatsapp groups are the worst. Lots of people speculating with half baked information.
You can believe what/who you want to beleive, but it is not going to alter the fact. GCMS notes are generated by separate government department who do the same for other government departnents as well under the access of information act.Calling is never an issue. You can call them as many times as you want. I was told only about Gcm by ndvo . Same thing my immigration consultant also repeated
Then it is likely that you may get your PPR by this week or before November. I have read few cases where people have told CIC about expecting a baby and then CIC waits for the baby to be born before issuing PPR. Or you can wait for PPR and once they issue PPR let CIC know and they will guide you how to proceed. Mostly, they will ask you to till birth and then you will have to provide them with baby's medical (and passport may be?) and they will issue PPR to whole family.Hi @cansha
Visa office is ottawa
And were you the one who deduced it is a Siebel system ?GCMS is the software where our cases (personal details and actions/activities done on the case) are maintained.
If you saw your notes closely, every single update (including document uploads) you did before submitting your application gets into GCMS as “activities”.
GCMS notes is nothing but an export/printout of the log of these activities, which shouldn’t take more than a button-click. If you understand IT systems, it can be as simple as giving “Print@ command on a word doc.
With that said, I doubt if ordering notes would slow down or accelerate any case.
Annoyed? How do you even know these things?First of all these guys won't be able to help you much as the files are not handled by a single officer.
Second there was no need to order GCMS notes as according to your timeline, six months are not over yet & they get easily annoyed.
As far as they have not asked for any additional documents, your profile is at a good status.
There is no specific rule or procedure these guys follow. Everything depends on case to case. In my opinion just sit and relax till you get the golden email.
Yes same hereAre you having problems logging in right now? Page won’t load, but it was fine an hour ago.
Yeah. I’ve actually designed such “Print Activities” (including notes) in Siebel for businesses, and I could easily derive my conclusions about GCMS just by looking at the layout and field-labels of notes. And were you the one who deduced it is a Siebel system ?

I really get amused when people draw funny conclusions about GCMS notes, and even when others try to correct them, when these notes are such simple thing for any IT Engg.
But it was tough to hold myself back this time when there was a serious argument going on, and it was only increasing the count of posts on my favorite past-time blog
Understood, thanks,Then it is likely that you may get your PPR by this week or before November.
