Hey I just called up CIC, the agent on call told me that all my background checks have passed and confirmed that eligibility criminality and security all are passed at this moment. He told me to wait as the next step would be a letter for visa. He also said that he cannot put in a note at this moment as it’s under processing and said that it should come anytime soon.

Usually one or two weeks. Mine actually took 2 business days only!!
My VFS was Riyadh saudi arabia.

My visa has just been approved after submitting my passport but the email received today stated that “
Your visa is now affixed in your passport. If you have accompanying dependants, their visas are also affixed in their respective passports. Your visa is valid until June 07, 2019”

Please what do they mean by it’s valid until 7th June,2019?

Hi,

My AOR is Jun 19, 2018. My Background status has been saying : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Since my medicals passed. With no further changes. In January and February, I asked for GCMS notes, where I found a line : "PLEASE REVIEW FOSS FOR STUDENT PERMIT", and it has been this way since last July. Do any of you know what it means/how long it can take?

I have been working on a Post Graduate Work Permit for 2 years now since June 2017, and also have a valid Study Permit as I am completing my Masters part-time. But is this causing confusion? Can I do something here?

All my calls/CSC/emails have come back with the usual generic responses.

FOSS is the older system that CIC was using and it has the information of all the previous study permits and work permits. Are you sure that you can have both study permit and work permit at the same time. (I didn't know that it is possible to have both of them. always thought that the last permit is the permit that you can have. Anyways, it seems that something about your study permit raised some concerns for them.
