Yes
No it's the same.
The good news is that recent trends shows they are finalizing SS much faster than before. A dozen of my friends got their ppr after 3-4 month of SS.
Hope you are also one of those cases and get it soon :)

By the way, did they redact any info from your notes?
One more question: do you know where I can check when my SS started?

You won’t get entire money back as they have already done some work on your application. Yes you get RPRF amount back if you withdraw.

I would suggest wait for atleast a month before taking any action as they should clear june backlogs this month or maximum by mid April.
Why do you say April? I sure do hope you're right, cos I'm never able to understand their pace

Tracker shows 6months to 9months for SS clearance
Yeah I know in the past people had to wait for at least 6-7 months. But recently, I have seen many cases whose SS finished in 4-5 months. I think it is important as it can bring a ray of hope to all those who are under SS.

Finally I was able to reach Cic, only to know that nothing has changed on my file..even though i addressed their concern about POF, review required is still not moved..the agent did not reply any of answer with specific answer..all his answers were generic..i asked same question in different words but he was smart enough to give general replies everytime..did not give me any due date, said it has to be confidential..my file needs additional review and hence its taking time..and lastly he said it does not mean that they are not working on my file just because i dont see any update there..

For those who want to travel out of country during PR process:
I asked if i need to update my passport visa/ travel details if i am visiting my sibling in austalia. He said its not necessary to inform cic about my visit to austalia if its tourism purpose. Only incase if i am visiting ausi for study/work purpose, i should inform cic.
I also asked about getting re-meds done from ausi instead of india, he said its perfectly fine getting it done from there if i find any panel physician in the city i am visiting.

I have been in 5 months already, there still is no sign of it being finished. According to my latest CBSA notes received last week, there was even no sign of CSIS finishing their part. And I know there are people in this thread who have been under SS for 7-8 months. SS concluded in 4-5 months seems to be the lucky case.

I know and I agree. To be honest I remember one day before my ppr I told R.Tequila that wouldn't be surprised if I see April 2019 aor get their ppr and I am still waiting for mine. Then after a couple of hours I got it. I thought I am the rare lucky one, but then I saw 5-6 people like me. I know it is not the representative of all the people in SS, but I think with the introduction of the fingerprinting, the SS would speed up (maybe not for us, but for 2019 applicants) Anyways, I don't have the right to tell you wait or be patient as I already got mine. The only thing I can tell you is to wish you good luck with SS. Hope you get ppr soon :)

Yeah, I do remember you said that. I'm not really trying to refute what you said and I've always been waiting patiently. Just trying to state that there may not be a predictable timeline for SS and it's hard to see before when an applicant's SS can be concluded. Thanks anyway to your wishes, you've always been providing visionary inputs to this forum and I really appreciate those. Good luck and enjoy your life as a PR :D
