Morning Fellas!! Looks like I got my AOR2 (Finally)today 2 weeks after PA. My wife got an email (AOR2) from NDVO asking her to submit a proof of payment (if not paid).

Now my question is that since I have attached all the proofs and made all the payments already, do I need to send them another copy of the proof (just to be on the safe side) or it's just fine to go with what I already sent? Also I am assuming that next step from here is just to wait and check emails on regular intervals?

Thanks for all the responses. You guys doing a great job!! :)

So they have confirmed on call that you have sponsor approval?

In that case, ask them to reconfirm mailing and email address, and request them to resend the email to you with the sponsor approval.

Hi,

I have a question and hope you can all help me on this. We already got our AOR2, and I have a TRV so our plan is that I wait for my PPR in Canada. Initially, I thought that I have to go back to my home country once CIC sends my passport request but I saw some instances wherein others also wait it out in Canada and then just land in the border. How can this be done? Once I receive the passport request, how will CIC get my passport if I'm in Canada?

Hope you can provide advice on this.

Thanks! :)

Hi buttercam,
Are you 100% confident that you won't be invited to attend an interview at the respective VO overseas?
AOR2 only means that your application for permanent residence has been received by the VO, but doesn't automatically guarantee anything.

Hi Allo,

Thanks for responding to my question. I know there's a possibility that I can have an interview, so we're ready for that and I'll go back to my home country of course if needed. I know as well the implications of AOR2. Just asking since I saw that if no interview is required, there's a chance to do the PPR and landing in a CIC office in Canada or through the border. That's the part that's not yet clear to me. :)

You can stay and wait it out, just make sure that your TRV doesn't expire and apply to extend it a month before expiration. If you are from the states, you can land at the border. If you are overseas, you will need to make an appointment to land at a CIC office. You will need to change your address with CIC to that of your spouse/partner. You might consider filling out a representative form for the both of you so CIC can send your PPR to the address in Canada without legal issues. As far as the last question, I only can speak as far as the USA is concerned. If your VO is overseas, you might want to wait for a response from an experienced member. If it is the US, they typically don't ask for your passport, they simply mail COPR and you use that to cross the border. Best wishes for a speedy process!!
