Do you have GCMS notes?

There could be a discrepancy between what you entered in your application and what is actually in their system. These issues are common.

For example, one member's spouse is listed as single in their client details portion of their GCMS notes, when they are clearly married and applying outland for PR.

In my wife's notes, they have her email and phone number listed as mine even though we provided hers in our application and did not submit the Use of Representative form. They also have my total years of education listed as 2. Lol..

I haven't ordered notes yet, but I will soon. It has only been 35 days, but I am nervous about his approval.

It's funny what they get wrong. I suppose they are quite rushed there. I can access Ecas, that will do for now.

Thank you for trying to help!! :D

What makes you worried about SA approval?

My husband has post-traumatic stress disorder brought on by dealings with the government. 45 days being transferred between 5 different jails for contempt of court for missing a court date as a witness to a crime. When his attorney finally got him a court date and he paid the $150 fee, he was released. But, not before attempts were made on his life in jail and a zealot prosecutor had put him on the no-fly list. He has been avoiding anything to do with the government since...including filing his taxes. I'm trying to get that settled. He has applied for the voluntary disclosure program with the CRA and written a letter of explanation to CIC, but it worries me. I am the reason he is trying to integrate back into society.

As long as taxes are filed and no convictions you should be fine.

Hi.

1) No, it will not impact your sponsorship application.

2) While I suggest waiting until SA, your wife will have a UCI from her previous applications.

3) No, the outcome will be in GCMS. If, in the future you are asked for an updated IMM5669, then you will need to include the refusal. You do not need to update CIC on sponsor visits to PA, however, it would be good additional relationship proof if you did. When I visited my wife I sent pics, receipts, boarding passes, and passport stamps to SVO.

Thanks a lot @ImaBule, you're as always the lifesaver :).

Tried to link our app ....but no success. We didnt receive AOR1, so no app number...however I do have a UCI number from dealing with CIC before. Tried this as well....doesn't work. I'm just hoping that by now (we are on the 40 days mark) they are not going to send it back for whatever reason.

I was finally able to link my app, not by UCI or app #, by name & birthdate, don't fill in passport info.....and the # of people at the end screwed me up too (there are 3 of us, but 2 worked)

For the processing time, do you go by the date CIC received everything or when it says they started processing on ECAS?

the date the application was received.

Normally how long does it takes to get SA approval once they start working on your file

I am not able to login to ecas with either Sponser's and PA's.
Did anyone link your application in this situation ?

or it should appear first in ecas, and we should link ?

So, we finally can access our app in ECAS, I've been checking daily for the past few weeks, and now accessible on Tuesday, July 26....

Sent to CIC on Saturday, June 11.
CIC received Monday, June 13
AOR1 received on Saturday, June 30
ECAS states sponsor step in progress since June 29.

So since they received it, it took them 43 days to update ECAS. Assessment of sponsor is currently at 56 days so we should have SA on August 8. Here's to hoping. :)

Ecas now shows medicals received under PR side :) . Not sure if it means anything, but it's good to see an update!

Same with our case, yesterday we could finally log on ecas. Good to see at least a little bit of progress.
I guess Tuesday will be the most exciting day of the week from now on. :)

I submitted PR application for my Spouse on June 1st 2016, and havent till date received any AOR1. I am now getting anxious, I was wondering if there is any one else having the same problem.
