Does ECAS have "medical received" automatically updated once we have AOR 1 (we got that on 15th July) and SA is still in progress?

Our ECAS doesn't have medical received even though we did upfront and included the same in the application package. On Applicant side it just shows received Application on 27th June. Sponsor side shows "In Process".

Of course, still cannot link our application to MyCIC...think we are just going to stop trying to do it till we get AOR 2.

Hi all,
Can we apply for trv after sponsor approval, is this work out??
Previously got 3 rejections of trv coz of no travel history, strong family ties, insufficient funds..

We have shown 2 lakhs in my account and 20k$ in my husband account. My only reason that I can come back to my home country is my pg studies.

Please suggest..

It's the same for me - on ECAS it doesn't show that medical is received, however on MyCIC it says medical is passed. So I'd say don't worry, they probably haven't updated the info on ECAS yet.

I submitted PR application for my Spouse on June 1st 2016, and havent till date received any AOR1. I am now getting anxious, I was wondering if there is any one else having the same problem.

many of us haven't received AOR1 either. very likely we will receive SA directly. No worries and gd luck to all of us : )

Hi all, my wife is the sponsor and I am the sponsored applicant, I am a Ghanaian and my wife is a white Canadian by birth, I am a resident in China for about 9 years now. our application got to CIC Mississauga on the 9th May, 2016 and we didnt hear anything until July 9th when she called and was told her sponsoship was applied on the 28th of May and an email was sent to her of which she didnt receive. so they suggested posting to her the approval letter, but on the 15th July she received the email from Mississauga confirming the sponsorship aproval and that our file has beed transfer to Accra office for further processing instead of China we applied for, stating due to my nationality and CIC Act. Could anyone please advice me if this is common, as if I am call for interview I would have to travel from China to Ghana which is a very far journey. Also I have two dependent children in Ghana in the aplication I declared thought they are not moving together with me till I settle down with my wife in Canada. Also in the letter they stated we should complete our medical upront and submit the sheets to the Accra visa office directly using the case specific webform and we should attach a copy of the approval letter from Mississauga to the Accra Office. thanks all!

I actually don't remember, either UCI or Application no. I got it on the third time, when I changed the number of family members from 1 to 2.

Should we apply under privacy act (free) or access to information act($5)? It says for people not living in canada they can apply for access to information act only. I am a sponsor and living in Canada should I apply under privacy act and only ask for the sponsor notes?

Do you have GCMS notes?

There could be a discrepancy between what you entered in your application and what is actually in their system. These issues are common.

For example, one member's spouse is listed as single in their client details portion of their GCMS notes, when they are clearly married and applying outland for PR.

In my wife's notes, they have her email and phone number listed as mine even though we provided hers in our application and did not submit the Use of Representative form. They also have my total years of education listed as 2. Lol..

This was a great tip. I tried all the combinations before except the one without UCI or file #. I could link the application to my CIC now, but it seems something is wrong. My CIC only shows application status open, medical passed and review of eligibility not started. My application was received 31 May, got AOR1 by email on June 18th and 56 days was July 26th. I also called CIC today and the agent put me on hold and at the end told me he had to intervene but I have to wait at least one more month before I hear something and he did not disclose what the issue is. I cannot log into ECAS from day one till now. I don't know what may be wrong. I want to order GCMS. Any advice?

I was finally able to link my app, not by UCI or app #, by name & birthdate, don't fill in passport info.....and the # of people at the end screwed me up too (there are 3 of us, but 2 worked)

I'm fairly sure that you are the first June applicant to receive SA. That's very exciting news.

I have sent my application (outland) to Case Processing Centre - Mississauga

It will be delivered to office by tomorrow or day after.

When should I expect to get AOR1 ? What is an average time ?
