Woohoo, got my passport back with pr visa stamped in it. Since I am in Canada right now, need to go out and come back within a month, due to expiration of medical certificate. Applicant from Japan using Manila VO, but sent passport to Ottawa

Congrats!! I have a question thoygh. WhatsPR visa exactly and for howlobg? And can you work right away after obtaining a pr visa ?

I have to re-enter Canada before my medical check results expire, so it is only valid to enter within 1 month. After reentry, it is PR permit, allowing me to stay indefinitely. I think I will be able to start working immediately, not that I have anything lined up yet.

I think we have ways and ways to go .... not till after Republic Day I am guessing coz that is a very long weekend. Since the year has started slow and there are still mid May and few April applicants waiting, it would surprise me to see June start mid-Jan!
