Congrats!! that is unbelievably quick wow . Any feedback on the interview you would like to share with us. thanks
Thanks. The lady just checked the following one-by-one: IDs (Driver's license and Health card), Landing Document (COPR), and Passports. She checked the documents submitted along with citizenship application form and said they have received CBSA report and everything looked ok. She then write "No Concerns" in the comment box on one of the papers where she ticked the checklist she's following. She asked "do you have any problem with immigration or police?". She asked what do you do now? She checked everything and jokingly said "you did not travel since we came to Canada." She was very nice, and then said congratulations, you will receive letter inviting you for Citizenship Ceremony, and that we can come with our children (although not compulsory) and one (1) guest. Then she asked us to sign on a particular document. I then asked when the Citizenship Ceremony might likely take place. She said within 2-4 months.

Hey guys, we passed our citizenship test this morning. Scarborough Centre is an amazing centre. It was super fast. We started test around 8:20am and we finished everything (including interview) around 8:50 am. When we went out and checked the time it's 8:52am. Everything went well, and the office was very snappy and did not waste time.
Congratulations, what happened to the lost COPR then, didn't they ask for it? :)

Thanks. Yeah she asked about the original of my wife's COPR, despite providing a copy printed in color. She said the copy is ok and that we should bring the copy for citizenship ceremony and explain to them (if they ask) that the original is lost. But she advised to request for a replacement because it would still be used in the future for some benefits like CPP ( probably at retirement).

Friends,

Need your expert advise and help.

I am applying under the 1460 day rule. I have 4 entries outside the country to usa totaling 110 days of travel.

How many days of buffer is recommended to be on the safe side to avoid an RQ before submitting the application ?

I am submitting my application alone and not with the family.

Thanks for all your replies.

110 days is almost 4months (16 weeks). If I were you I would wait like 16-18 weeks after the date that I'm qualified. For example, if I clocked 1460 days on September 1st 2016, I would apply mid-February 2017. Other members could share their own views as well.

I recently landed in Canada under family class immigration (spouse immigration), I have conditional permanent residency , and 2 years condition of permanent residency COPR will be removed after 2 years from now. My question is .. 1460 days time period to eligible to apply for Canada citizenship will count from now or after removal of COPR , after 2 years from now ?

Received Notice to write citizenship test 9-Sep
Test passed 18/20 tried to be perfect but missed the goal any how interview was 50/50 means that if someone like me have hundred stamps in passport
decision is not easy and i am not blaming her.

She asked me about job, family status and my choice to reside in canada.

Now waiting period start may be questionnaire or decision God knows.

I do not believe in the "buffer" thing. I applied after 1464 days.
