Hello all,

Me and my wife who is the sponsor sent our application on June 1st and was received on July 6th we then had confirmation 6th August that she had been accepted to sponsor me woo hoo. Now the long wait begins as my application has now been released to the UK.

Have we been processed quick or is the above a pretty standard time scale for where we are right now?

Also can someone either add me to the spreadsheet or link me the correct section for the the UK spreadsheet please?

Just on time

I already Added you https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LAzbar2H01x8U78J_mL5LcMsMCT2_HN9bm5s5Y3gh-k/htmlview#

Excellent thanks for adding me.

What does all the short form words mean and stand for ie AOR, SA, ECAS?

I will try to update you so you can add to spreadsheet but currently I cant login into the check application status no matter what I put ive tried using the UCI with a - between like ****-**** and tried using application number wth my DOB and family name and my sponsors DOB and name and a combo of both and still just says unable to get information right now I called CIC and they were unhelpful as per normal just told me to look on website gggrrrrrr!

Im really hoping UK wont take nearly 2yrs to process don't think I can last that long with no work and letting the wife do it all! Fingers crossed its quicker.

Also our application was sent to Missiuga and my visa office is London for spreadsheet.

Don't put anything in-between UCI numbers.. it must be 8 digits I believe..

Use your 8digit number, use the last name of canadian citizen his/her birthday and what country he/she was born

HI Everyone.

Congratulation all for the progress on their file and best of luck to the one's waiting to hear from CIC.

I want to understand that I got SA and file is transferred to New Delhi.

Can I apply for a visitor visa for my spouse at this stage? Do they grant visitor visa then PR application is in progress?

Thank you.
Depesh

AOR = Acknowledgement of receipt
SA = Sponsor approval
ECAS = i don't know what the letters stand for, but it's the website where you can check the status of your application
DM = Decision made
COPR = Confirmation of permanent residency - the end goal!

the London office says 28 months, but that's because they are taking overflow cases from Islamabad, and their files take much longer to do because of different forms, background checks, etc. files that would normally go through the London office, and especially straightforward cases, are much quicker.. i've heard anywhere between 8-15 months.. even 15 months is better than 28!

Thanks for the info.

Yep ill happlily take 15 months over 28 any day.

Already corrected the problem , emailed CIC signed form and no worse for wear. We also have a UCI# and application number, So all is not lost.

Hey rockgurl, you said you emailed them the missing form? does that mean that if there is a missing form, we don't have to rely on snail mail and just email them a PDF version of a form?? That would be awesome! :)

Hi Everyone!

My Husband (sponsored person from the UK) I and sent in our application on 1st June2015. Application was delivered (by Canada Post) on June 2nd 2015.

Has anyone posted their application on a similar timeline...? I'm feeling anxious as I haven't received anything from the CIC.

Has anyone got AOR or SA?

Fingers crossed, I hear something soon.

I'm a June 1st applicant and I never received an AOR or SA, I just called the call centre and they gave me verbal SA. Now my application for my American husband is In Process for his PR. My timeline is a bit out of the ordinary, but you should call the call centre to at least get info in regards to your SA. Their number is 1-888-242‑2100

I am June 1st AOR July 8th
File still in progress
I am at 69 days
Did call CIC and they said I have to wait

HI michel..
Did they even ask your application number and checked your profile
.. mine is also in process..but when I asked them that processing time is passed.. and you should take some action
Only then he checked my profile and let me know that I have been approved and the status might change with the next update

Hi
Yes they did ask my application number. The only thing they did was to send an email to Mississauga to have info about my file
So I have to wait
