I just checked ecas and it showed "in process" for my application, my question is - what does in process mean and is there a possibility that they will return our application once they found out that it's incomplete?

My timeline:
June 5,2015 - app received
June 11,2015 - AOR

Wow, they are motoring along with your application! The in process part is the Sponsorship Approval. You'll get SA once they've looked it over. Usually if you're missing something they'll ask you for it and you can send along the missing piece. Returned applications happen mostly when someone uses an outdated form. But you can never really know what's going to happen.

CIC will send you an email containing your file/application number. You can use this when you wantto check your application online. I received my file number when they sent the AOR. the link for the ecas is also included in the email.

Hi i am confused, my husband (naturalized canadian citizen) just checked his client id in cic.gc and its stated there that they received our application june 4, 2015 and they started processing our application july 10, 2015 as well as my medical exam results. Is that what you called AOR? Thank you!

Sounds to me they didn't send you an AOR, or they sent it to the wrong e-mail address.

do you think its the same as AOR? when he checked the client ID it says that our application is on process since July 10, 2015.

An AOR is nothing more than an e-mail or letter to tell you officially that they've received your application. Sometimes they don't send it, but that doesn't mean they haven't received it.

So yea, to me this has the same value as an AOR.

so glad somebody started a JUne 2015 forum, ours was received on June 2... goodluck everyone, it was indeed a relief having the application sent, i think ours weighed 2 kgs.. hahaha
