June 2015 - Outland applications

Application finally arrived at the CPC, signed by R Mahmood.

I sent it over by express mail from Japan and it took one week. I thought it would actually be faster, but after tracking previous packages I sent through Japan Post to Canada, it was about the same.

There's something about these times where you just create unnecessary for yourself

My Application package delivered to case processing center on 2nd June, same no any news yet..

In about 2 week we should start seeing the first 1st stage AORs. It'll make the waiting a bit better when there are people receiving them, I hope

My Husband (sponsored person from the USA) I and sent in our application on May 29th 2015. Application was delivered (by Canada Post) on June 1st 2015.

I feel so nervous! It's crazy to think that we are putting our relationships and hopes in the hands of pure strangers! :-X

Hi, I sent my application on 10/june/2015, Cleared the New York Customs.. still in New York.. hopefully by Tuesday or Wednesday it will be delivered.

I haven't sent our application in yet, but my husband is mailing me his portion tomorrow, so fingers crossed and lots of organizing, I'll be able to send it out by next week or two! So that would make us June 2015 outland We're applying USA to Canada. I have no idea which visa office is processing his case, so no clue how long it'll take.

Question: How did everyone go about organizing their application forms in a packet??

Welcome! Seems there are several of us that are USA to Canada here!

I just followed the checklist and put it all in one big pile. There is a post here where someone separated it into three envelopes but I figured if they wanted it separates out, they would have asked for it. I paper clipped the documents together into sections though and sometimes put a coveR sheet.

It will likely go through the VO in Ottawa.

In terms of organization, I simply put everything in order based on the checklists. For all additional documentation we included or additional sheets of paper, I included Lastname, Firstname, Initial in the header, along with the form number (such as "IMM-5490 Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire" and in the footer I included what question the paper was related to and then Page x of y. I figured if it got knocked out of order while being processed that would give them the best chance of putting things back where they should be. I kept all the individual forms and supplemental documentation clipped together.

No idea if I did it right or not, but it seemed clear and organized to me.

Also, when doing a form like IMM1344 and IMM0008 where it generates a barcode page, the barcode page should go on top of the other parts of that form. That allows them to quickly scan it without thumbing through multiple sheets.

Gosh I can't wait to receive the 1st AOR or even SA! I'm checking my email (+junk folder) constantly! I feel like an addict haha.
