From what i can gather from my notes and the London thread ,London is waiting right up to the 11th month . So my application was received in London in August. My notes say bring forward date July 23rd,which will be 11 months from the time approx they received it . Not from sponsorship approval.

Well I wish you good luck. My marriage has fallen apart so I am withdrawing my application. I hope you all get some word soon!!

Aw thats great news. You have been through so much, i hope things work out for you both . Good luck and enjoy your new life in Canada . This is what you both needed a fresh start. x

Thank you Taffy! Yes I hope it all works out and it is what we need! I can't wait to be productive and work again and I'm sure my husband would like that I can contribute to the household finally! Now I just have to figure out about landing since I am suppose to go visit my family in September so I guess I'll be landing when I come back!

You don't have to wait till then if your near a boarder crossing you can do it before . Your visa exempt so i wouldn't worry about coming back in to Canada. Its called flagpole , that's whats hubby is going to do . He has his ticket booked for end of August but when have his papers so going to wait it out here then cross at a boarder crossing in Niagara

Ya I may cross over this weekend in Buffalo! I want to get my SIN as soon as possible and get my resume out there! Then I have to figure out when to fly down and get a Uhaul to get some boxes and stuff there! I don't want to bring my car over the border but leave it here in Canada for a month or two so I can continue to drive it until I sell it in the States and take over my husband's SUV & he will by himself a truck! It is just too much for us to import my car, it seems like jumping through hoops! I am about to go search google to find out if this is possible! I read somewhere you have 2 months to get a Canadian drivers license!

Hope every thing goes smoothly . Just go to your local licence office and ask them how long you can drive on your US licence. I thought it was a year, but your insurance will be higher. Its only a matter of them doing a check and sending you out a new one .
