I also am Coming up on a year since application received and heard nothing recently. I've sent them all the crap they have asked for and now silence! My Mother in law is trying to get involved & tells me only one UCI is working when she does the online check and something must be wrong and they only have 15 months blah blah...it's frustrating enough without someone else trying to get involved and make me more nervous!

I'd also like to know how importing your car goes as I may just need to do that, but I finance not flat out own my car, heard that can be tricky!

It's 15 months from SA. SA for you was in August, so count 15 months to that, which will bring you to November. I doubt it'll take that long, sheesh, I hope it doesn't even take 12 months since SA.

Yes, exporting a financed car is hard to do. Neither of our lenders would let us export, so we paid them off to get the titles.

Thank you good to know about the 15 months and the cars! I think my husband wants me to sell my car and take over his so he can get a newer truck for himself lol.
I hope we hear something soon. I think I'm going bonkers sitting at home Doing nothing not being able to work! I actually came back to Jersey and ended up staying a month just to work & take care of my Mom a bit.

My husband's car is financed through Chase.

They said we can export/import the car because he's had it for more than a year and has never had missed payments but they need a letter from him stating that he would like to export, proof of Ontario insurance which lists Chase as the lien holder, and 4 personal references (2 U.S. and 2 Canadian).

We got it all done and mailed it out. Upon reviewing it they send a notarised permission letter allowing the vehicle to be exported/imported.

We already got the recall clearance letter from Mazda. Will report back on how the whole thing goes.

Have your ordered GCMS notes yet? or perhaps since its over a year of original submission to Mississauga have an MP do an inquiry to find out the current status of your application.

Chris.

Yes notes have been ordered , fourth set ordered today. MP is stupid they have no idea what's really going on with immigration but I still go and get them to do an enquiry. They think they know so much yet tells me I have to wait 29 months now to hear.

My first ever visit to my MP was way back a couple of years and I came out crying. He told me that I had no chance of my partner coming to Canada so my best bet would be to go back to the U.K .

The only way I found out about him able to come to Canada as my husband was from this site .My last set of notes had two bring forward dates . 1 was March 31st and the second was July 26th . Nothing from London, not a peep.

Have you sent an email to Ottawa CPC?

I got the notes yesterday even though my husband's already landed. They don't really have a lot of information. It was kind of irritating though because if you're so satisfied that relationship is genuine and there are no concerns for medical or criminal then WHAT TOOK SO LONG? I would think it would go quickly? Apparently not.

My file is going through London , so Ottawa can't help me. My relationship was deemed genuine on my sponsorship notes, plus notes after that . Medical have expired but have renewed till Nov that's what my notes said anyway. Security and criminal not started.

We got a weird email today. CIC and the Singapore VO has requested my wife send her passport for a permanent residence visa.
The problem: She's American, and hence from a visa-exempt country.
We are currently residing in Vietnam but she is an American Citizen with an American passport. We have had DM (April 25th) and we were expecting COPR letter....
We have already emailed back the VO asking what's happening? Any ideas? I will be calling the call center the next time the time-zones line up.
Just when you think you are in the clear....

Make sure you call while your wife is with you because they will need to speak to her.

Anyone can tell me what is the best way to contact with cic for case inquiry
My application processing time is exceeded about one and half month now so I want to contact Paris visa office cic.
1- should I go with online inquiry system and fill up all that and submit it or
2- should I directly send an email to Paris visa office?

What is better or any other better option!
Thanks

I would start calling as much as possible. If you are past your estimated time then they actually tell you to contact them.
I'd try all avenues available to you. Request your case notes, email, call, fax, contact your local MP, whatever you can do.

Just checking in to see how every one is doing. Received my notes yesterday ,no change. MP can't help as London changed their processing time from 11 months to 28 months.

Also still waiting with no word yet. July 2nd will make a year from when they opened the application!
