Good morning all..

Any of my Havana VO applicants out there?

any news... im still WAITING... and still dont see that "IN PROCESS" I'm freaking outtt....

today i feel like crying.... :(

I hear ya! but I figure we are not going to see anything until Jan/Feb at best. Based on other Havana applications, they saw "in progress" on average 154 days (5 months) after AOR. (I made a spreadsheet for myself to help me get a realistic expectation) If you got your AOR in August, it will more than likely not be before January. Being patient is definitely the hardest part, but if your set your mind on the fact that it is still going to be a long time, maybe it will be easier. AND, if it does go faster, then it's a happy surprised. Hang it there!!! You are not alone!!

exactly. this is the healthiest way to get through the process. obsessing over what's not happening will only make more not happen.

Hi everyone,

We've just got our COPR today and I have updated the spread sheet.

The only thing is they've sent it to the home of our relatives in Ottawa instead of our home address in the UK. I'll have to see what we do about that!

I applied in March and they marked us In Progress after the interview (obviously they started working on the file before that or we wouldn't have had an interview!)

Some VOs don't update as much as we would like.
Did you order any case notes? They tend to take the full 30 days to email them, but when you see that someone actually touched your file it eases a little of the stress.

Hi there - thanks for your answer! i did not know that you can request case files - it helps to know that some visa offices don't update the ecas until after requested interview! that actually really helps!!

my husband and i have had a death in the family and it is particularly a hard time for us. I would love to know there is light at the end of this tunnel.

thanks again!

No problem!
I'm sorry to hear about your loss.
Not many things make the waiting easier, but things like that sure remind us how precious our time is and how sweet it is to be with our loved ones.

I liked the notes because it had me waiting for something I could count on in 30 days or so.
An end point to waiting for something in this long drawn out process.
A little break. The relief of seeing a date in the not too distant past that implies that someone at some point touched our file even though they didn't really do anything with it.

Hey People, Our representative laywer said that as our file has been sent to the VO and that it will take time to start processing, we could still gather some fresh proofs(documents, letters, emails, phone bills...etc) and send them to the VO to keep our file update.

What you guuys think about that, is that a good idea?

No not a good idea. If they want move proof they will ask for them .They will likely be misplaced and never reach your file . Just keep collecting for the time being.

Application in process!!!!!!
