Dears,

Just received SA on Aug/20/2014. My husband is a Brazilian and currently working in Canada. We got an email from Sao Paulo office that my husband needs to make up two documents : fingerprinting from RCMP and Police certificate from Brazilian Federal Police. The first one is easy since he is physically in Canada with a valid work permit. The second one we have enclosed in very beginning application package but it's only valid for 3 months (he got it when he traveled back to Brazil), but I guess it has expired. My question is does my husband need to go back to Brazil again to obtain the police certificate or can he get police certificate in Canada because he has been working in Canada since 2012. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Can your husband order one on line instead of him having to go back . Its strange that they have asked you for a new one. It was under 3 months when you sent the application. Honestly i would be calling your visa office and making them aware that you sent it while valid . Worth a try . As for RCMP haven't a clue. I would also suggest making a headline and getting the experience forum member to give you an answer.

I still cant see nothing from ECAS, it says " We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not begun processing it yet.

is this normal? ???

P.S: File was received on June 15 and Recived an email on 8 September saying, we met the requirements for eligibility as sponsor and forwarded to Visa Office Abroad(DAKAR ,SENEGAL) for further processing.

I'm the Applicant.

Mine doesn't either but you have to enter it with the hyphen to get the website to work.

So enter first 4 number hyphen last 4 numbers of your UCI.

I still can't get on using my uci # . I have to log in using my husbands application #

Mine works whether I add the hyphen or not. In some documents, the UCI number is separated by a hyphen, but I honestly never use the hyphen.

My husband hasn't been able to log on to Ecas at all, he's a Canadian citizen by birth and didn't have a UCI until now. I've had my UCI for four years. I don't know if that makes a difference?

OUr application just got sent to VO !!! :D
