I hope it comes quick for you! Yes I flew to Toronto with KLM before, they fly from Newcastle to Amsterdam. Yes looking at the moment, KLM and Air Canada are the cheapest but that could all change. I am planning flying out 21st January but I have to fly to Winnipeg once I land in Toronto so hopefully its not too expensive

Got to be honest i have been flying back and fourth with KLM for 4 years now and i have never seen my flights go down after booking.I was going to book yesterday then when i went to book the flight went up.Right now its 900.00 pounds for Dec 17th. Air Canada was about 33 pounds cheaper but no point with the train or bus fare trying to get there .Canadian affair only flies out twice a week sometimes 3.They belong to air transat so no change in price. Will check out BA.

I don't know if this applies to the actual airline website or just to discount airfare websites, but apparently if you delete your cache and cookies after visiting the website, the prices won't go up since what they want is to force you to buy your ticket quickly. It could be just a rumour, but maybe a useful tip?

I will try that tomorrow. Thanks lellen

Ecas changed to IN PROCESS :))

Hi everyone,

Could I be added to the spreadsheet also?

Here is my info:
- Application received June 13th 2014
- Applied as common law partner (we have one child also if relevant)
- Sponsor approval on 7th of August 2014
- Our file appears to have been sent to the Ottawa office for processing (although we currently live in London/UK)
- No other requests have been received until now but our file is not marked as 'in process' yet.

Thank you!

Hello guys!

Just wanted to share good news with you and give hope to the rest of the people waiting.
I sent our common-law application in June and the Mississauga office received it on June 5th. My partner got his SA on July 31 and I got the AOR 2 from the visa office (Paris) on August 12.
On August 25, I checked on Ecas and the status of my application was Decision Made!
They started to look at our application on August 21 and took a decision on the 25th. I knew that Paris was a speedy VO but not that fast :D
I received my COPR last Tuesday in the mail and I am going to land Saturday September 13th (I am already in Canada on a work permit).
So, it can go very very fast!!!!
Fingers crossed for all of you, it will come when you don't expect it!
Good luck!

Wow that is indeed very fast. Gives me hope since I am sending mine to Paris as well. :)

Hey Yaak, I thought the last time I saw your timeline your passport was requested.... or did I imagine that?

Decision made, we recived an email from VO Paris asking for the passport, interview waived. VO Paris is moving fast, we wore expecting all this in February and is way earlyer than we expected. Yaaayyy. ;D

Amazing ! Congrats! :)

AOR2 received from Mexico visa office! I would add that to the spread sheet myself if I weren't more likely to make a mess of it. If someone else can update my file, that'd be great!

No, my last contact with CIC was a request from them for a Statutory Declaration of Commmon-law Union, and two photos for the PR card. The stated that they had reviewed the application and did not think an interview would be required. They had the requested document and photos in a week, but that was over a month ago and we've heard nothing more since. I just made my weekly check of ECAS but it shows nothing new. I don't expect to get a passport request given I am from a visa exempt country. We really expect it to be approved fairly quickly once someone gets back to the application, but have no idea how long that could take. Patience, as ever, is the order of the day :)
