FLATBLACK....WE BOTH ON A SAME TRACK....RECVD SA SAME DAY...OUR FILE SHUD REACH SYDNEY SAME DAY AS WELL...I AM GIVING MYSELF 15 DAYS FOR THAT..
I read that, it can take a few weeks to get to their destination.rhcohen2014 said:yes, that's normal. the day the sponsor is found eligible is the day CIC "transfers" the file. it's the date that the application gets registered in the system basically.
Ok, that sounds logical and makes sense as everything is done "digitally".rhcohen2014 said:yes, that's normal. the day the sponsor is found eligible is the day CIC "transfers" the file. it's the date that the application gets registered in the system basically.
Ok, great ... now I'm confused again. ;D Are our apps sent off to the VO? ... or is this all done through some internal system via the Internet or something?Kev1n said:I read that, it can take a few weeks to get to their destination.
"transfer date" isn't necessarily the same as the date it physcially arrives at the visa office. "transfer" just means it's been sent to the visa office. more likely than not, you will never know it actually gets to the visa office until months later when the application starts processing. only a few visa offices actually send acknowledgement of receipts for the applicant's application. there's really no knowing how long it takes to get there. I don't know why it matters if it takes 2 days or 2 weeks. it's not going to start processing as soon as it arrives, it will be batched with other applications until it's time for it to be picked up for review.Kev1n said:I read that, it can take a few weeks to get to their destination.
Iam not sure my self, just that I read, on here it can take a few weeks to be transfered rhcohenm might be more informedflatblack said:Ok, great ... now I'm confused again. ;D Are our apps sent off to the VO? ... or is this all done through some internal system via the Internet or something?
I do not know whether the transfer is electronic or through inter-office mail. i don't think it's possible to determine this, as we are not visa officers, and i don't think it matters. the bottom line is"transfer" is just a word cic uses to let the applicant know where the application will be processed.flatblack said:Ok, great ... now I'm confused again. ;D Are our apps sent off to the VO? ... or is this all done through some internal system via the Internet or something?
Ok thanks for that...rhcohen2014 said:I do not know whether the transfer is electronic or through inter-office mail. i don't think it's possible to determine this, as we are not visa officers. the bottom line is it's just a word cic uses to let the applicant know where the application will be processed.
Just an FYI... if you are an outland applicant, your visa office is NOT mississauga (As indicated in your profile). It will be the visa office specific for the applicant's home country. If you are applying inland, then yes your application will stay there. Inland will be much longer than 8-10 months.Sheen1990 said:rhcohen2014
Thanks alws .... U olwz ans. our query!! I hope that my case olso processes speedy as it urs. Thinking of 8-10 months hell. Really its hard to live like this. Finger crossed hope ol soon well.
We didn't supply an option C notice of assessment either, and received SA on August 1. Instead, we provided a very brief note explaining that my sponsor had worked continuously in the US for the past couple of decades and paid taxes to the IRS. We attached a copy of her 2013 US 1040 tax form and that was it. It seems to have passed muster with CIC.khenderson said:First off, congrats! I am a little nervous about our application since I also didn't supply an option C notice of assessment. I am wondering how did you address it in your application? Did you write an explanation?
Thanks

Hi rhcohen,
U put me in worry as me staying in india and my husband applied file from missisauga. He s the sponsor. So wat does this inland and outland means? In this case!
correct. ALL applications START at mississauga, and the sponsorship approval is processed there. At that point, CIC will then transfer the file to the visa office in your home country. Inland and outland are different types of applications. Only people in canada can apply inland. For outland, the applicant can be either in canada or outside of canada. Considering you are still in India, you are an OUTLAND applicant. Your application is being processed through New Dehli, so that is location of the visa office, not mississauga. The visa office is based on the applicant, not the sponsor.Sheen1990 said:Hi rhcohen,
