JUNE 2014 OUTLAND applicants

Hi all, am filling background/declaration form now, and under personal history section, i was unemployed at a point and i wrote unemployed under activity. What will i put under "status in the country" and "Name of facilities as applicable". Although i put Not applicable under company/ facilities, am i right?

Most seem to receive notice of sponsorship approval by email if one was provided with the application. You should know in about a week if CIC continues at its present pace.

I've also added you to the tracking spreadsheet. Welcome to our patient little group

Hey!! Just so you guys know, I am June 11 applicant and I can see my status on Ecas!! It just says "Application Received". YESSSS

CIC updated processing times, they started for working on applications received on June 4!!
And also days are 56days.... but still its not so bad ;D

how do you guys check your Ecas status? I'm a June 12th applicant and I have tried with my receipt number it doesn't work, does it means they didn't open my application? . do you guys know any other way?

I checked my e-cas right now but I could login!!!Im 13th applicant so I think you can also login...
I also tried receipt number but it didnt work, so I tried to use my client number and its works!!!!

fyi... receipt numbers generally don't work on ECAS, only file numbers and UCIs. The SA would have the sponsor's UCI listed, so that can be used with their personal info to gain access to the Applicant's info. When you are signed in under the sponsor, the applicant's info is connected.

yes, usually that is correct. if the sponsor or applicant has previously dealt with immigration for another type of visa, they *may* be able to sign in and see the sponsor's status. this isn't always true.

Once SA is sent, it can take some time for the information to get into ECAS. For me, it took about 3 days. Currently, there are people waiting weeks to be able to sign in. There are also some applicants who are never able to sign in throughout the process or if they can, the status stays the same the entire time. ECAS really has no bearing on the application process. Some visa offices use it, some dont. It's certainly not a reliable source for knowing what's going on and is not meant to be used to determine or analyze anything at all about the process.

I signed in with MY UCI, my husband is a citizen so he doesn't have any file numbers or anything yet. Receipt number doesn't work. I was able to log into my application, but I haven't been able to see anything about the sponsor. (My UCI was given to me when I first entered Canada as a student).
