Hi Citizenship friends,

I have applied on 22nd April 2014 for my citizenship. I did my test on 19th February 2015 @ Vancouver local office. They update my e-cas after I finish my test.

Now waiting for a big day? Oath taking.........Any idea........Please....

Thanks

In ottawa, i was advised 2-5 mths for the oath letter.

One of my friends in scarborough got her oath letter on the spot yesterday and her oath is mid March 2015.. Lucky them.

Hi u4g5,

Thanks, I do not mind the 5 mths period- i was happy that she approved the file. Just waiting for the last step in the 4-yr process (From PR application to oath invitation)

hi ZSHA, i was answering for markanna, who is also a vancouver applicant. from previous threads and posts, the average time ottawa office schedules oath is 3 months. but u never know. and yes, u case got approved at the interview is the best news u can hope for. the wait will be over soon.

Not all. I am waiting for test date but the June application process is slower than other months..

Hello,

after last minute change on my work , I was able today the 4th of mars to come at the OTTAWA CIC office for the review of the original documents I submitted in support of my application, as well as all passports. No test because I'm 56.

The officer was really nice : he asked permanent resident card, passports, I gave a CBSA report He found very useful, talked a little about my teaching activities... and that's it.
He finally said all the pieces are ok, and I will receive the Oath invitation on 3 months.

They do not go through your documents, just make sure that you have all your expired and current passports.
Cheers,

and you didn't get an email AOR, which local office?
