Helllo, you guys asked about Montreal,

I will say what I know...

Some process for family with kids born in Canada, I know at least 2 cases like this and the process was really really fast!

Like 6 months total!!! for begging to end!!

I have one friend she applied as a single, so she applied in Last November and was called for the Test in July.
But she could not do for personal reasons...also what I heard people are waiting at least for 2 months to the oath after the test.


So in general process are taking around 1 year if there is no RQ!

What I think is good...not long ago all the people I know waited around 20 months for the full process ( without RQ)

RECEIVED line disappeared for my family(Spouse & Kid). Whereas me, I still have 2 lines ie "IN PROCESS" & "RECEIVED." Any thoughts???

So we won't get any update until we receive the test invite? I'd prefer access to ecas status

I decided to call CIC this morning and was told my application was received and the email confirmation I received will serve as AOR. So, no physical AOR nor study book will be in the mail. Does it mean the next step is test invite? I still cannot see ECAS, though.

Then, all of a sudden, I got an email that I think it's a response of my online inquiry about 2 weeks ago.

I think by the end of Sept, we should call again. They give different answer though. Last time, the lady told me that even though i got email confirmation, i may receive the actual aor n book within 2 weeks lol..,
It s good that many of us call regarding same issue so that we have better idea what to expect.
Email confirmation for receipt of apps is new to citizenship apps, they never did that before. So maybe manycic agents may not aware of correct answer to our questions.

Hi all, good news comes on sunday morning. I check ECAS and test invite was sent last week, tho i havent received yet but will do it end of next month. Wish all the best, new law is doing some good for new applicants!

I received my AOR and book today !!!

They said the Oath will be within two months

Hi All - Hurry!!! I now see our application ECAS updated online. This wasn't there till yesterday. Happy now that I don't need to resend our application which I was half way through.
