June 2014 Citizenship Application.

Just called CIC to check status and they said the application received but haven't done anything on it...what does In process mean then?

I have submitted another application on September 11, 2014 after my first application on June 18, 2014. Hopefully it will go smoothly this time. The first one I have had no idea where it is now as I was advised by one of the CIC after a phone conversation to submit another application as she believed my application was lost. I am sad not for the money lost but for the time lost, almost three months, these months are too much time for me but for the CIC is nothing.

Did the same thing, second application just received today after 3 mos of waiting and no update on the first application at all. Been calling CIC and they have the same response everytime like it may have been lost or returned. I also did online inquiry last week but no response at all. Good luck to us this time

Can someone please tell me how do you know if your file is transferred to the local office or no ? Do I need to call CIC?

i called them and they told me that my file is still in Sydney but i had the feeling that the information is not true, i do not know why.

Guys i just hung up the phone with CIC.. Background check is done and they transferred my file today to Montreal
Hope to get the test dates soon!!

I am going to apply at the weekend .I do have a question for you guys and would appreciate if you could reply to it :

If you are not using your LINC results as a proof for English language skills , what did you choose for Q # 9 E ? Should I leave it blank or choose "No" or write N/A with hand if I am not submitting my LINC results .

What did you do ?

Given it's one of the few questions that actually states to only fill it in if its applicable, i.e.

This section needs to be completed by applicants choosing previous LINC results as proof of language.

I chose to leave it blank. In my case, this appears to have been fine.

My application was received at CIC on June 20, and ecas is showing in process since Aug 11. I called the Call Centre this morning, my file has not been transferred to local office yet and is still at Nova Scotia.
