It might not be a bad thing if you got medical reassessment request from cic. I got medical reassessment request on Jan 27, 2016, had it done on Jan 30, and got my PPR on Feb 3rd. I do not know if it is just coincidence, but from what I know is that the expiry date of the immigrant visa will be the same as the medical expiry date, so if your medical is expired, cic cannot issue you a visa unless you redo the medical. However, if you always reside within Canada, most likely they won't ask you to redo the medical, cic will extend the expiry date automatically.

I got my PPR last thursday , Was out of city , ready to take a job ..

timeline : app June 20,
aor : Aug 8,
Medical - feb 23 2015(rec by cic),
Reassesment : jan 8th 2016 rrpf: jan 5th,
pcc : april 2015, jan5th 2016 .
personal history form request : Jan 5th ,
PPR : Feb 25 2016

I have a question, i was going through the immigration lawyer, so when I got ppr, I mailed CIC from my own email ID for Visa Office change, Has anybody been through that? or should I tell my lawyer to send an email from his ID>.. would be really helpful if anybody has an experience in this

I dont know your actual case is, But I was in the same situation I have also consultant with my file, But when I filed my BOWP I filed myself and I was continuously keeping in touch with CIC from my e-mail in beginning CIC told me that we dont have your e-mail in our file and then I requested my Lawyer to mail them some document then again I send some documents so any how my e-mail they consider it in my file. And my lawyer did not know this thing from onwards I was communicating from CIC and CIC was responding me on my every inquiry and on call also they confirmed that we have both e-mail yours and your lawyer e-mail.
So if you have communicated before with CIC from your e-mail and if you received any response from CIC on your e-mail directly then I would say you (in my opinion) you are good to send anything to CIC directly as they have your record.

cec062014, When you did your medical 2nd time. I did my 2nd medical on 27 Feb.

I and my family did 2nd medical on Feb 26th

Let say I sent today from Toronto, ON. Any recent experience please?

BTW - In recent conversation with CIC, all June 2014 applications must be closed by 18-March

Also if anyone received MR request, make sure you check old GCMS notes for Medical expire date. My was valid but I got message for Medical retake. I sent email to CIC and it was extended and you know what, I got PPR this week

Rest of applicants can check the same to avoid medical expenses and of course further delays.

Are you still in Canada ?As per CIC agent ,If we are out side Canada ,then medical is valid for only 1 year .

Yes, in Canada but if you received medical retake request and if you see it's still valid, you can send an email and give a try.

But the email says final Request, is it the common?

I have applied for BOWP as well can we withdraw the application now? and my current WP is getting expired tomorrow.

I m not sure but I have heard it somewhere before that FINAL REQUEST means they have requested you your passport before and they haven't heard from you. So this is your final request to submit your passport. I would call call center and ask them what the final request means.

Yes the email Id for PPR includes the wording Final Request and email states the further steps. Good luck
