Guys,

just a quick question - can I park my car somewhere near to the peace bridge ? Is there any designated parking lot close to the peace bridge ?

I will be heading for landing this week and my spouse doesn't have US visa ! So what do I tell to US border agency upon arrival and what all documents will be required ?

Pls help.

you should be okay as long as you tell them that you are here for your landing as canadian PR. they will give you refusal letter that will prove that you left canada, but it will have no impact on your future US visits or visa applications.

Dont worry. They wont ask for medical again if you are in canada. I did my medical exam in Jan 2015, but when I got my passport with visa, it had expiry date till Oct 2016. That means they have increased medical validity for 10 months.

Medicals is valid for 12 months.

Hi Smxman,

I was also out of status as my extension for BOWP was refused. But , I have travelled back to my country.
I have few questions, can you please answer them? :

Did you continue to stay without status and once you gt your PR , you have landed bck ?
I have not yet updated my residential/mailing address , do you think I have to?
If I request for change of address, will that delay my application as the address change is for a different country?

Sorry for the late reply.

I remained without status until my CoPR arrived in the mail. I was to afraid to delay anything so I did not change my address. I'm also from a visa exempt country so I didn't have to send my passport.
I left two days after my CoPR arrived, then came back a few days later.

Hi,
May I know the reason for BOWP refusal? I have applied for extention of my BOWP? still it is under process.

again sorry for late reply.

I had a post grad WP and I applied 2 days after it expired. I only found out they can't be extended after it was refused.
I needed a labour market assessment to be approved.

Hi All,
Today morning when i checked my status, it showed below lines, earlier it was only three lines(Line 1, 3 ,5), Please help me to understand if it means anything or it just mass update, if anyone else have same lines and waiting for update.

I got the same additional lines in September when I paid RPRF (upfront)

Guys, I need your help!

I have left Canada as I was out of status and my CEC application is still in process after the medicals in Feb 2015.
I have also updated my address in my home country and it got updated in ECAS.

My question is, will this address change out of Canada, delay my application ?
Will my application be transferred to my home country or will it still be processed from Canada ?
Did anyone faced similar situation , what did they do ?

Thanks a lot for your responses!

We all know that. But in our cases where medicals are expiring cuz of their delays, they had no option other than to extend medical validity. someone also found in their latest GCMS notes that their medicals validity was changed.

For myself, CIC agent told that my file went for final review now and Background checks are done, Did you get same kind of information from CIC call center?

it depends when you did your RCMP. if you have done it in March 2015 then you can just send copy of the certificate and in the email/letter mention that you have already submitted. if you have done you RCMP 1 year prior to todays date then you should re-do the RCMP and send the new certificate. RCMP validity is for one year. I too got same request in sept 2015 saying that the certificate in the file is expired. my RCMP was done in june 2014.

I got my COPR just before Christmas (I'm from a visa-exempt country). Hoping to activate it in the next week. I did my medical on Jan 28th 2015 and on the COPR I received, the latest date to activate PR is Nov 28, 2016. So they must have extended the medical validity; in my case for 10 months.

All,

Is U turn still open at peace bridge for landing ? Did anyone recently landed via peace bridge ?

OR I have to approach till US border to get the admin refusal ?

Yes, thank you. Very useful question. If you don't mind. I may ask one more. In what room that your application ended up when it had been finalized. As my knowledge, there are 3 rooms: CEC OFF REV, CEC CA REV, A900. Wonder which room gives the final decision.
