Just spoke with Ottawa call center and they brought me some good news that my application is "ready for visa" since 10.Nov/last week .
He also said that application went through some reviews and so far it should be finalized, hopefully, within a month .
Another thing, person I spoke to, was very kind and professional .
Any thoughts on this situation ?

I think you will get PPR whenever they run their next batch.
BTW, how were you even able to reach Ottawa call center, its always Montreal when we call them.

Yes it is always Montreal, One of my GCMS files had notes stating that.

Wow - congrats ... I called CIC this morning and was told what I already knew - in processing.
If I hear or see that phrase again - I'll scream !!!

spoke to them 2 hours ago and same story "background check ongoing" I've been hearing this from July, why after 4 month this check is still ongoing?

I called 1 888 242 2100, thought it was Ottawa

Now the Call center Agents have got a special message from CIC for CEC applicants.

"Our office confirms that your application is being processed as per our regulatory timeline.
Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.
An officer will contact you if further information is required.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum."

yes, it is the same message we receive on email from Ottawa office. CIC knew that we (CEC Applicants) are calling them everyday and they have asked the agents to avoid the call from us. F***g Ridicules!

Guys, I lost hope now!
I don't think the pending applications will be processed anytime sooner.

Its been 8 - 9 months since medicals request and I have been checking the ECAS status every day :-(

Nobody really cares how the applicants are suffering.

God, plzzzzzzzzzzzz help!!!!!!!!!

Woke up to some unexpected news, I received my RPRF request - at least it's something!

Did my landing last night at Rainbow bridge. Very quick. No line up. Reached there around 9PM. However, officer in the entry lane back to Canada from US asked me why I didn't land at the cic office. I just made up excuse that it was 1 week wait. He was like I couldn't wait one week. And, in the back of my mind, I was thinking I have already waited long enough. Didn't bother me much otherwise though. Sent me to their office just on the left while entering Canada. No line up inside.
Finally, PR now lol.

congratulations!!... my passport and COPR is delivered at home now.. cant wait to go back and check the documents LOL.. will be doing landing in january as i already have travel plans in a month and i am sure i wont get PR card by then.

Thanks. They gave me until 31st Jan 2016 to land. i think it will probably be around same for you.
