I said that based on other applicants from my country. They all been asked for additional documents for security check, right before getting PR. (in GCMS everything else is passed)

In a few page earlier, I mentioned a link for annual report that CIC releases.
I don't remember the exact page, but for 2012-2013 it was saying they decreased the average Security screening to 35 days. (if there is any issue, it can take months)
You can search for "security screening for permanent residents"

btw, Indian applicants this year all got PPR in less than 1 week after complting the rest, so I guess they don't need comprehensive screening.

Security screening is valid for 48 months:

Thanks...

Nick, no offense, even if you saw some rules regarding security or background check somewhere, never believe them. It's all for show.

I'm not convinced of the country of origin either. There are applicants from Iran who got PR faster than someone from the UK. Or, July and EE people came from Mars who are not earth men and don't need to be checked.

If I have some suspicious record they will find it out with ease, if I don't have any they won't find anything no matter how long it takes.
security screening is a normal process. many government jobs requires that. (they verify addresses, job history, school history, etc.)
Some big private companies also need that before they hire you. They will apply for it to government and the process is 4-8 weeks. (whether you like it or not)
The result is also valid for 4 years, so if another company applies for it during that time, then they will get a response quicker.

This process doesn't have anything to do with who gets PR faster or not. Just one part of the PR process.

Does that mean June applicants' addresses, job and school histories are more difficult to verify than July people? (we're in process for ever and they were DONE), and EE guys don't even need to be verified. Up to you if you believe in that. ::)

I found

Geez, You need to be less negative towards everything.
because they screwed up things for CEC applicants for our month, it doesn't mean you should start hating everything that government does.
Aren't you supposed to land in this country ?

The entire process for background and security check is 3 months in total. That's why they introduced EE from now on.
PR for FSW applications was up to 4 years, it doesn't mean they are working on that for 4 damn years, they just keep them in queue until they decide to work on it.

You were speaking very negative about things too, check your post yesterday. I found your opinions contradictory very often, some hating CIC and some supporting them. At least my opinions have been consistent. I said no offense in my last post. Whatever...

Guys,

Anybody from June landed recently at Rainbow bridge, can share their experience?

No 3rd line for me... :(

I have the same timeline as yours, what's worst is I never received MR, I did upfront in April, and second line shown in May only after I emailed CIC with the information sheet given by the doctor.... :-X

I'm a June 10th applicant. No MR until now. There are people suggest me to do a upfront medical after I received my GCMS notes says "Reccomended Passed". But I didn't do that. So what is your status now? Is the upfront medical speed up your process?
