As the speed is going...I may need to re-apply for BWOP. Do any one know.. how many months will CIC give BWOP now ? will it be 12 months again ?

You can absolutely renew your BWOP. You will get a new WP valid for one year from the day your current work permit expires. Now a days, it is taking almost 80 days processing time for WP extensions.

Thanks Kothem!

I am also observing the same. They are increasing processing time along with June applicants. Seems like they screwed up June applications.

I find myself in the odd position of trying to rationalize CIC processing :)
I think CIC works in "rounds" of reviews.
I can tell you that many April and May applicants are seeing progress on their files lately.
The first round of PPRs for APR-MAY was around December and January.
The rest of the applications were classified for second review and are now getting finalized (hopefully)

It makes sense that June second round is due in a month from now.
I am not exactly sure what happened with July candidates.
It could be a late first round of PPRs (late because of express entry" apps).

Good Luck to everyone!

And then you have the weird exceptions, like my application that has no second review, "recommended pass" and no update since I've done medicals in February.

I agree same to my case, no second review still the same delay. i think there is no rational, they are just erratic...

Same here, "recommend passed" in the notes and still waiting. I understand all applications need to be reviewed by visa officers to get finalized but I have no idea why it takes so long for people who does not need second review. It seems like April/May applicants who have gone through their second review have got their ME and RPRF recently, so hopefully we will see some updates for June applicants soon. Fingers crossed.

I can also confirm from my side. The processing time changes to 15 months.

How about when we are close to 15 months and CIC changes it to 17 months and so on?

I just called CIC and they still told me 13 months from application receieved.

Fingers crossed x

anybody has any news? so frustrated since my medical was done over 4 months ago. just hope our VO will start proceeding files soon...

Over 5 months since medical.
Now, I think our time will come only with second review applications as they start looking at those applications again.
