I did my landing today at CIC Ottawa office....All went smooth...

I just needed to carry my passport, 2 photos and confirmation documents(COPR)...

Hope the process gets started for rest of the June guys sooooooonnnn


Long wait is over....Felt great when the officer said ... "Congratulations, You are a Permanant Resident now" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

CIC is not working on June applicants now.....It is not worth contact frequenty in regard of our proceesing time. We all have due date somewhat around Aug.2015....Before that time, we all get same answer becasue I got same answer last month.......lots of June applicants are waiting over 6-7 week.......

The call centre agents always say that 12 to 13 months is the standard time so we have to wait till then just to get a response. but in reality that never happens. Ideally everything gets sorted out before. It means whether your application is rejected or accepted way before. Also there are lot of people who are not actively updating the sheet unless they have a problem. so , I dont think they are not working on June applications now.

CEC_June14, congratulations on your landing. Hopefully it will be the same for the rest of us in the coming few weeks.

Can you please share your story of how you landed? I think a lot of people here would be interested to know how the landing process takes place.

It was quiete a simple process....Just need to set an appointment by calling cic customer care with one of the CIC offices and then..take passport, 2 photographs are must to take(I guess photos not required if you go on BORDER...not sure though)....and confirmation documents....For others they were taking longtime asking questions but in my case the office just asked me to sign confirmation document and it was done in 5 minutes..Next step was to go to service canada to get "Permanent SIN Number"

I guess people go to border to make it fast but if we get the appointment sooner that it is a good option too right ?

I know the wait is quite frustrating, I find myself waking up at nights just to check for ECAS/ email updates.
