How the 240 days are calculated:
from when they received the application or from when they issue the AOR number?

You can double check the offical website.
I am sure I saw the statement:

This information is updated quarterly and shows the time it takes to process an application after we receive a complete application package.

I have a doubt. My company reference letter says that "Mr. XX is a full time employee in ABC company from <start date> till <end-date>"

There is no mention of 40 hours per week specifically in the letter. Except that phrase Full time employee, other aspects like NOC Code , job role and salary are Ok. My doubt is will the phrase Full time employee account to 40 hours of work per week or could this lead to room for confusion for the VO ?

Yes, one of my friend had same situation ,Vo asked for reference letter, it would be better if you update the reference letter.
Hope you will get medical request soon.

I received MR today.My application timeline:
App received : 30 June,2014
AOR : 18 Aug,2014
RCMP requested: 29 Jan,2015
RCMP sent : 10 Feb,2015
MR : 25 Feb,2015

My husband is the principal applicant and we have applied under CEC. We receievd only 1 IMM1017 form attached with his details. I am concerned if I need a separate IMM1017 form or is it ok to have only 1 for him, since I am dependent applicant.

My application timeline is as follow:

App sent: 25 June,2014
App received : 30 June,2014
AOR : 15 Aug,2014
MR : 25 Feb,2015

I would advise you to call Customer Service to get some update on your application and if you don't get MR in next 2 days then request GCMS...

I read some post that if you have had medicals in less than a year ago, CIC may not ask again as they have it on their file. I had my medicals last year when applying for TRV.
We have also dropped a mail to CIC.

AOR Receieved: 13th August.
Medical Receieved : 25th February.

I scheduled the medical exam on March 3rd.

i am going to share HR rejeciton mail and two refe letter from my friends (Canadian citizen), I already send the scan copy and now i am waiting physical copy of ref letter. so i can send this with spouse PCC.

Hello just want to ask what were the details you included in the reference letter you submitted? Just want to ask as well if your educational qualifications and experiences are related to the job you submitted for CEC application. Thanks!
