Hi Guys, I need your advise. I got my AOR on Aug 5th. I am expecting to get the MR between Jan 20 to 30,2015. I will be out of country for my wedding which is on Jan 26,2015.
1. Do I have to notify CEC about the marital status change before the MR arrival.
2. Can I process my wife PR papers after I get my MR request. Is it alright ?
How does it work and Which is the safe method to follow. I appreciate if anyone can help me out. Thanks in advance.

You should inform CIC about ur marriage through email..
Then CIC is going to ask to send all documents for ur wife.You can do the medical for both after that....CIC will ask..

If you got the MR and you did it...then CIC will ask for ur wife's medical only...

But remember you have to send a email for ur marriage...so that ur wife can get PR with you...

@MeToronto Thanks for the reply. What happens if I am getting MR when I'm out of country ? Is it better to inform them before I get my MR that I will be out of country for my wedding. Thanks for the help.

you can do your MR from your home country as well.

Medical done before MR

Hi Tarom,
we can see you posted that you have done your medical in oct 28th but you are yet to get the MR request. Does it mean that you have done an upfront medical on Oct 28th. If yes have you notify CIC about this and have they acknowledged that they received your medical report.

Yes I have done medical exams upfront, I asked the people at the medical center and they told me that since they have my UCI number, everything will go directly to my file in CIC. I haven't done anything yet to inform CIC about my upfront exams but I wouldn't expect this to create any problem on my application. If anybody thinks differently, please advise.

I am going to get marry on Jan 30th 2015. I want to apply for PCC for my fiancé. Once she arrives to Canada I want to add her as my dependent to my application. Whether I can go a head and apply for PCC before marriage ? She will be coming to Canada in march month and as per my knowledge PCC is valid for 1 year. Please let me know your views whether i can go a head and apply PCC for my fiancé before marriage ?

Hi Tarom, thanks for your reply. So once you will get the MR request you will inform CIC that you have done the medicals and provide them the UCI so that they can fetch your medical reports from the CIC e-medical system.Is my understanding correct?actually I am also thinking of doing an upfront medical so want to know the process.

About one month, I applied on Dec 5 and received on Jan 2.

But I'm not sure if the information on it was based on the progress one month ago.

I find that some of U have successfully got your Visas extended after getting extension of your WP. Congrats!!!

What are the forms U submitted for online? Are these same as paper submission?
