I was on an open work permit. Now I have no clue what I will do. :'(

Hi All,

I observed that I have missed to mention my email id in the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM0008ENU_2D.pdf).

My CC was charged on 12th Aug and now I am able to see my application status as In Process in ECAS website, but didn't reveived the AOR email.

Please, advice. How may I update my email id to CIC which office should i follow up. Ottawa or Sydney.

In absence of email add, they may had send the AOR by post, I guess.

u can change it from ECAS or through the call center.

In ECAS there is no option to update email.... We may only update mailling address and phone number.
And Call Center don't do it directly.

Really Then I would suggest to email CIC with ur application id and ask them to add the email id to ur application. I am not sure about the which email id to use though. Get it confirmed.

congratulations! I wish you applied on paper for the BOWP . You were just a few days short. Did you figure what you will be doing to get back your work permit?

Need some advice - my application was received on Jun 30th. Seems like people past that day are getting charged/AORs, and my credit card hasn't been charged nor have I received any AOR/return/rejection. Should I try following up with CIC or should I keep waiting - been 50 days now, about 7 weeks? I have a BOWP application in progress (paper), and should have some time till September.... but I'm getting worried because people who've submitted after me have gotten their stuff already.

Hi aythenday,

General follow-up time is after 8 - 10 weeks as per CIC. The files are picked randomly. Keep patience for few more days... you will see the result.
