Saw my credit card get charged in Aug.

Looked up my status on site. Says

"Application received on June 17th 2014" I guess that's the AOR confirmation?

Congrats! You will receive an email with Subject "Acknowledgement of Receipt of application" or something similar. That email will provide you with your fee payment receipt and file number.

I had received the acknowledgement email on 11th Aug 2014. However e-CAS shows nothing against my detail even today. Does it take that long for status to be available in e-CAS ?

I need a clarification on the below requirement for BOWP.

As per the cic web site for BOWP requirement it says "They have valid status on a WP that is due to expire within 4 months"

My WP will expire on Jan 31st 2015 am i eligible to apply for a BOWP now.

October 2014 would be the time when you can apply for BOWP, I believe.

i was in similar situation i didnt send pcc..so i put a question in the same thread
and a forum member info_sk replied


You can send your PCC, since it is not an additional document but a required document. Additional document would be something which is not mentioned or asked in the CEC checklist form.

I send the document with signature request, so that we can atleast confirm its received there

Hi all,

I have now ready the NOA and the PCC which I did not include in the application package because were note available.
In the AOR it says to do not send any additional document and wait for CIC to ask for, but I read here and there that someone sent missing documents as soon as received.

What's the best way? Waiting for their request will delay a lot the application? If I send them without being requested to do so, is there any chance the documents get lost?

Hi, you should get the AOR any day now. Changes in e-CAS take about a week.

NOC Code typo in Reference letter...

Observed a typo in my experience reference letter. Appplied in NOC code 2283, but in reference letter its 2238 (invalid NOC code, doesn't exist).
In all other documents (Experience Cover letter, IMM 0008-Schedule 8 ) its mentioned as 2283 (correct). The Role and Responsibility in reference letter matches with 2283.

Application Status - got my CC changed and awaiting for AOR number.

After getting AOR, shall I sent an email to CIC and update about the typo and request to let me know if they need the updated version OR directly mail the updated copy with a explanation OR do nothing and wait for CIC to get back if they need updated one.

Please, advice. Many thanks.

Once you get AOR, email CIC and update them on the typo. They *should* be OK with the error, but will request an updated one if needed.

Thanks you so much... I got my CC charged on 12th Aug, still no AOR.. In general within how many days its expected..

Shall I send the email at this Id - CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca
