well this definitely gives me a little bit of hope! Our app is from the states as well and office CPP-Ottawa but I've gotten no responses its been way too long, and CPP needs to get on it!

I'm a December 2013 applicant and my Visa Office is Ottawa. I guess I shouldn't expect anything from them for the next 7 to 8 months. Yikes!

Well, welcome to the waiting game. It must be nice to be processed in 7-8 months (I applied in July and still no signs of a visa). Some visa offices are taking longer or shorter than Ottawa. We all just have to wait patiently. So good luck with your processing.

I checked today, and my status now shows "In Process" since January 13, 2014. They are finally starting on June applications.

I keep checking the June, July and August threads to get some kind of estimate about my September application. Congrats on getting another step further... must feel good!!!

Congrats!!!! I have email confirmation from CPP_Ottawa that they have my medicals but it isn't updated on the CIC site. It still says App Received.

This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, and banking history, employment letters, lease agreements, etc. Driver's licences, property tax assessments, social insurance or health insurance cards are not sufficient to show intent to return. This must be received at this office by: 03/28/2014"

This is good news right?

Yes, that is a good sign, it shows they are at least looking into your application. According to the ECAS website, updates happen usually on Tuesday's, so check back tomorrow or Wednesday. Hopefully your status has updated after that. Mine was showing "Application Recievied" for 7 months.

you never know, maybe you will be one of the lucky ones and get your application processed earlier than that. for us its been 7-8 months without hardly any updates. good luck!
