I called CIC and my file in Calgary ...............Call center agent said, Calgary office should schedule my test before end of Dec2014.

CIC received Feb 6, 2014

When calling the CIC agents i get different answers but mainly my file is in the hands of my local office (Mississauga) and background checks have not been completed yet.. Anyone aware what background checks are required after RCMP clearance ? doesnt make much sense to me.. And any FP requests for june applicants here?

Hi All,
I called CIC and they told me that my file got transferred to Scarborough local office on March 27, 2014. And the agent said that my test should be around holidays (December 2014) and of course it is not set in stone.

Not sure how long before I get a test date. Probably sometime in the summer or fall...

My application was received June 24, 2013 and processing started on September 13, 2013. LOC transfer date March 27, 2014.

Yes I have postponed until I get the citizenship.

Yes the received line disappeared a long time ago sometime in September.

Looks like the applications sent after June 2013 have been processed much faster than June 2013 or prior applications in 2013.

Not sure what would be the average processing time for June 2013 applicants. All CIC agents told me 24 months and told me if I do no hear anything by June this year I should call them.

Hi All,
Good news. I got a test letter for May 5, 2014 in Scarborough yesterday.

My timeline:

Application Received June 24, 2013
Application in Process September 13, 2013
Local Office Transfer (according to CIC agent, also when I called in January they said that my file is in transit to local office) March 27, 2014

Test: May 5, 2014.

I had quite a few trips to US and I have all my boarding passes and the CBSA report.

Any advice what additional documents I should take for the interview? T4/NOA, letter of employment, leases, what else?

here is my updated...

I have moved from Calgary to Vancouver .......... Changed my address in eCAS on 22nd April and today morning eCAS updated with my new address .... Call center agent suggested it will take 6 weeks to transfer my file to Vancouver office.
