Getting so hacked off about how long this process is taking! Although I'm happy for those who are further along in the process than I am, I think it's very unfair that some VO process visas so much faster than others....surely it should take the same amount of time to process the same types of visas!!

i have d same feeling, it's really unfair
4 me it may takes another year! Ankara VO was so fast but now it seems they r stop processing d applications!
it is frustrating

U r been approved as sponsor , now just wait for the letter and yr file is already transferred to yr VO office .

My time time frame is 8 days after you and eCAS status shows the same as you..So nothing to worry mate.Decision Made and Application Received on my eCAS and my spouse eCAS just Application Received...

Thank you. Did you receive a letter that you got approved as sponsor? Because the only letter that i got was the AOR.

update on my ecas, changed from "application received" to "in process"
This is what it says under in process

We received XXXXXX application for permanent residence on June 11, 2012.

We started processing xxxxxxxx application on October 9, 2012.

Medical results have been received.
Please update smvi

Received AOR from VO today. File was transferred to Mexico according to the email, funny we thought the application was in Guatemala all this time.

Anyways, the waiting continues. Ecas still shows "application received" for both the sponsor and the applicant.

smvi please update sheet to show Mexico as the VO.

Hello! Is anyones application going through Beirut? I was approved to sponsor my husband on Aug.31st so now we are just waiting for them to process his papers. Online it says the wait time is 17 months but I am really hoping someone has had better (shorter) luck or knows of others being processed in Beirut that haven't taken this long!! Thanks

congrats for d approval, my VO is Ankara n the processing time 4 Ankara is 15 months but most of people got their visa within 9 or 10 months or even 6 months, this time which you have mentioned is refer to the past year applicant n i think it was because of Damascus embassy closure n file transferring. i hope all of us will be reunited with our loved ones very soooon

Thanks Nelly! I actually am living in Beirut with my husband so I know I am very lucky to be next to him, but we are still looking forward to moving to Canada so we can start our family but the fact that it took less time in Ankara is what I like to hear!! Good luck to you as well!
