Just got an email from Citizenship & Immigration Canada. It says what I already knew, that my app was received on June 14, but the address is now listed as Buffalo, so does that mean my app has finally made it to Buffalo?

Im new here and just found this thread. COngrats to those who have everything all ready to be with their spouses.. Hurray!!!!
My current status....
Application received in Missisaga June 13th
Sponsorship approved August 3rd (received it in the mail one week later, but letter was dated 08/3, same as it says on ecas)
Working on App since August 11th according to ecas.

How do you guys put all that info on the left under your name? also how do you get that super cool countdown at the bottom of your posts!!??

I am processingin Caracas office and in July processing times changed to 22 months :'( I feel like crying!!! but glad to have lots of info to read here to keep me busy and hopeful ! 8)

It means they have started working on your application... You should check approximate processing times for Islamabad to help you determine how long the remainder of the process will take. Good luck

The AOR is addressed to the principal applicant. Typically, both the sponsor and principal applicant can log into e-CAS using their seperate Client IDs - the sponsor's on the sponsorship approval letter and the PA's on the AOR. You can sign up for e-CAS tracker to make it easier on you.

I (principle applicant) still can't log into ecas... but my partner can. I'm not worried though as ecas is not very reliable anyway...

It is strange that there was no correspondence re- the approval - it must've gotten lost somehow... Still... good news you received this email What dates should I update the spreadsheet with? 8)

Okay, I noticed "approved" so now from what I understand the OP was referring to his sponsor being approved by CPC-M and not his AOR at the VO. If it didn't come via postal mail, I would check thoroughly one's email (if she hasn't already) as visa offices such as Buffalo, for example, send these increasingly through email. Also, logging into e-cas would be helpful in seeing "decision made" and date it was transfered to the VO.

My sponsor never received a email or letter, she has checked her email and the junk mail. I got that email from buffalo august 26th. The only number she has to login with Is the receipt number. And it doesn't work. I can login with my UCI but all it says is application received. And when I click that it gives the date it was received in mississugua.

That is odd. But obviously her undertaking was approved or else the rest of the application would not have been forwarded to the VO. You could try calling the Call Centre and telling them you were not officially informed of your case's sponsorship approval. As for e-CAS, no the thing is not reliable for outlanders but I would still recommend putting in all possible fields in e-CAS tracker, if you haven't already. It'll email you what it is able to log in with. I think once she sees a copy of her sponsorship approval, she will be able to log in as that document should have her Client ID on it.

I (sponsor) was not able to log into ecas for at least 2 weeks after we got our File #. However my husband was able to log in right away, so maybe just give it some time and try your client id in a wekk or so.

No recent news for me but I don't expect to see anymore updates for a while yet...so still happily waiting What has the process been like for you so far? I'm hoping we have nice people looking after our apps... 8)

I'll be posting on here as soon as I receive any further updates... I'll look out for yours too... I've been watching the May thread closely... they seems to be processing the London apps quite efficiently - so fingers crossed that all continues to go smoothly and as efficiently for us too
