I got my passport back! Visa issued Sept 6th, and I collected it today.
So excited, now I just have to land (aiming for mid-Oct).

Good luck to all the other members of the June group ... here's hoping for speedy processing.

On my end, I've sent my passport and additional docs to our VO yesterday and they got it today. ;D

Greetings all!

Just found this great topic, and wanted to join in. I've learned a lot, just poking around. Here's my status:

App Mailed: 16 June 11

as of today, 9 Sept, per eCAS

ECAS for SPONSOR:
Sponsorship:
We received your application to sponsor 'yooper' on June 16, 2011.
We started processing your application on August 11, 2011.
We sent you a letter on August 11, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

ECAS for APPLICANT 'yooper':
Permanent Residence: We received your application for permanent residence on June 16, 2011.

Sponsor did get an email, but not yet a letter, saying approved for sponsorship. No communication to 'yooper' yet, mail or email.

What should I/we be receiving from Buffalo VO? We are Family Class. Thanks all!

The Sydney office was super quick - but lets not forget that without this forum I would never have got my application right first time. I spent a couple of months prior to sending our application studying lots of advice and tips given here - without it I think I would have missed something and processing would have been delayed and maybe an interview required - so THANKS!Q

By the way, my ECAS has NOT been updated - it still shows 'in process' and says 'we started processing your application on August 18' - so for everyone still waiting - your file might be progressing faster than it looks on ECAS.

Welcome yooper! Next update will probably be on ecas to confirm your VO, Buffalo, has received permanent residence application... however ecas is unpredictable so nothing is guaranteed. Some applicants have also received an AOR letter or email confirming the application has been received by VO. Good luck!

nope. it says the date of when it was received in Mississauga and the date of the sponsorship approval, but nothing after that.

Since then i havent recvd or heard anything. i guess its too early ... now the brutal wait begins...

i have sent my Passport to Delhi VO, Can anyone tell me how will i get my passport back? through courier or through normal post or registered post??
