Hi vikas123,

As I know, 2nd AOR is apply for those applicants who applied their docs to CIC before JUNE 2010 or they belonged to MI 1. They were received the 1st letter from CIC which call 1st AOR letter (I did not see how it looks like ;D) and now we call it a PER letter. The 2nd AOR is the post letter which they received from regional VO, and now we call it a AOR letter or same orginginal name sencond AOR letter. The form of it is vary from VO to VO. My Singapore VO uses the form as below:

Dear........,

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by the Sinagpore Visa office on (received date)

when should I contact CIC?
You must notify CIC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include:
.
.
.

CIC will contact you if we require additional information, documents, or an interview.....

How long will it take to process my application?

Processing time vary. You can consult the processing times for reference at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times

Goodday to all d senior on dis forum.mandie and everybody u doin a great job.i hav a question.i got my 2nd aor from accra yesterday wit request 4 additional doc from my sister in canada.i spoke to her and she said she wil scan all d document to me and i wil just hav to print it here.wil accra accept a scan document or she should send d photocopies to me through post or courier.pls i need ur advice.

I think you should send them a scanned one first as this will quicken updating of your file. you can send the photocopies later, better still ask VO if that too is required.

Sexyhippo! pls help me as i am also in singapore visa odfice. how did u ask for police pcc did you wait foe them to ask for it? i also received my 2nd aor letter from visa office...

@kg_bang Hey have you actually received the '2nd AOR' (physical letter confirming acknowledgement of application at NDVO)? Or do you mean the change of status in ecas to RBVO?

Good to know that others are also receiving 2nd AORs quite late as i am waiting for it since the ecas status changed to RBVO on Sep 10, 2011.

Also, if the VO needs additional documents.. will it be communicated thru any other means apart from 2nd AOR, say e-mail? I am a little worried about this because there can be a case if i receive the 2nd AOR very late or not at all as its sent thru normal mail.

Yes, I hav received letter of acknowledgment from NDVO in sep dated 22nd aug thru normal mail.
Even I dont hav the information which u want. sorry
