Why is cic taking new applications and dumping all into the backlog as if we are fools and should keep waiting because we can't do anything else.
Probably geopolitics and sanctions on India because of something that happened last year.
what I don’t get is how so many people got their visa earlier year.
I wonder if they process a set number of applications month and the rest goes to backlog.

Same here.. as soon as the page loads the progress bar shows completely full for a micro sec, and then goes back to blank. I read somewhere that was a pilot program and was working only for specific types of visas. Visitor visa wasn’t on that list I think.

Atleast you got a response. Someone is working that means. Very tiny bit relived.
I didn’t get any response to my web form request.
This is the message I raised in web form:-
"Hi, I'm writing to inquire about the status of my application. Initially, the processing time was 52 days, but now it's showing 76 days. Could you please clarify if I need to wait an additional 76 days or if the results will be available within the original timeframe?
I would greatly appreciate it if you could expedite the processing, even if it's a rejection, so I can plan accordingly, as I've already adjusted my plans once.
Additionally, I'd like to request a change in my tour dates to November -December, so I can spend the New Year there. Please let me know if this is feasible. Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration"

This is not the purpose of webforms. Processing is always the current time not when you applied so they will not respond to that. Asking for expedited processing is not possible. IRCC doesn’t care about your travel dates.
Then no one would ever get a PPR unless processing time is 0.
If they don’t care about travel dates why do they ask for it in the application.
What ever Webform or its purpose is I don't care. I just want to ask them to see that they are actually working. So raised. I never thought I will get a reply. And it's been replied by agent so now I got my confirmation that my file is in process. Not some randome AI is processing my application.
